Halloween is around the corner! Right, like you couldn’t tell from the “quick-up” costume stores breathing neon-orange colored life back into your neighborhood’s half empty strip mall. I had not heard of this conference before and was intrigued when I found out that 50 companies would be launched over a three-day period. This Sunday (9/14), high winds from Hurricane Ike stretched all the way into Ohio causing multiple power and Internet outages.

While we were able to maintain electrical power thanks to backup generators, multiple outages, including those at our upstream Internet provider caused us to lose connectivity early this morning. This affected not only the website, but our purchase routine as well, so vendor sales were disabled during this time.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Our connectivity has now been restored and all systems are functioning correctly.

Currently, over half of our friends and neighbors are still without power, but the damage has been relatively minor. Our hearts and thoughts are with those who have lost their homes or loved ones.
