Wow, what a great trip! The Direct Response Forum (DRF) was held in San Diego this year and was packed full of information. Payment operations and risk management professionals specializing in card not present consumer payments annually attend the DRF. Break out sessions covered subjects ranging from “what it really takes to catch online payment fraud” to “understanding the complexity of on-line customer verification” and “the operational challenges and opportunities of open loop prepaid cards.”

Networking:

The first night we attended PayPal’s party aboard the U.S.S. Midway. The food was fantastic and the entertainment rocked! The night ended with a fireworks show rivaling any Fourth of July.

The second night our gracious business partners and friends took us to dinner at Salvatores, one of the best Italian restaurants I have ever experienced. After Salvatores, we headed to the Dublin Square Irish Pub for a party that was off the hook! Go Martin!

The third night our international acquirer took us to La Hoya where the sea lions come right up to the beach. After the beach, it was off to dinner and drinks at Georges where the food was superb!

Well, that raps up another successful DRF. The contacts and relationships that are built at a conference of this magnitude are priceless. I would like to say thank you to all of the DRF board members for putting on such a great event and I look forward to attending next year
