2Checkout is searching for a professional experienced with online marketing to manage the daily activities of our future affiliate marketing network from the ground up. In addition to managing the recruitment and retention of affiliates and suppliers, The Affiliate Marketing Manager will play an important role in continuous product development and improvement of the affiliate system, as well as manage supplier relations, and facilitate internal affiliate-related employee training.

Experience:

  • Two to three years of experience with affiliate management, or a similar combination of affiliate management and online marketing experience
  • A familiarity with the affiliate marketplace, including a basic understanding of the culture, annual conventions, popular forums and message boards, etc.
  • A basic understanding of the various affiliate marketing categories and the ethical/unethical issues associated with the industry and proper identification of each.
  • Prior experience in marketing, with experience in web-based technology, social networking, some SEM and SEO, at a minimum.
  • A willingness to occasionally travel.

Affiliate-related Responsibilities:

  • Daily affiliate management including establishing methods for regular contact with affiliates, analyze performance to determine top performing affiliates, draft/edit and ensure affiliate communication is posted regularly (including blogs, newsletters, special offers, raises, new features).
  • Monitor affiliate activity to identify areas of improvement and ultimately increase affiliate revenue to include: internal feature improvements, external marketing improvement, supplier/affiliate matching.
  • Work with the E-Commerce Strategy Manager to develop a plan and budget for recruiting new affiliates including weighing the success of affiliate-specific conventions/events, monitoring and participating in affiliate forums, and measuring the ROI of advertising opportunities within the affiliate space.
  • Serve as subject matter expert and official contact for all affiliate-related sales, marketing and press opportunities.
  • Actively work to involve 2Checkout in speaking engagements and informational affiliate panels at affiliate-targeted special events and conventions.
  • Build excellent working relationship with top affiliates and continuously monitor the system for malware, and potential parasitic applications that redirect commissions.

Supplier-related Responsibilities:

  • Contact with current 2Checkout suppliers to promote the affiliate program and ensure full participation on an on-going basis.
  • Regularly monitor and track top offers being made by leading suppliers and encourage additional suppliers within similar verticals to also participate in the affiliate program.
  • Develop an effective tracking mechanism to monitor supplier success and report this at regular intervals. Additional Responsibilities
  • Serve as the chief advocate and liaison for suppliers and affiliates to 2COs Product Development staff to relay crucial user-interface and feature improvements, and serve as an internal champion to ensure feature adjustments become a developmental priority and are addressed timely.
  • Develop ROI estimates to determine the cost of each project fix and to ensure appropriate prioritization of crucial fixes.
  • Assess future workloads and potential job descriptions within the affiliate marketing space internally and work with the E-Commerce Strategy Manager to hire and train new staff members, if and when necessary.
  • Assist Marketing and Business Development as necessary on various projects relating to the promotion of 2Checkout.com, including but not limited to attending special events, writing promotional copy, attending speaking engagements, sales, participating in viral marketing campaigns, business development, actively pursuing new marketing opportunities, and product improvements, etc.
