You spoke — in multiple languages — and we listened!
2CO’s purchase routine is now better able to accommodate customers, by providing 15 languages to checkout in. The language options have been added to the top-right corner of our purchase routine, each displayed natively.
This feature provides immediate translation of our standard checkout form to one of these additional languages, with a click of the mouse!
If you are a vendor, and interested in choosing a default language to match your site and further enhance the customer experience, you can pass in a new parameter, “lang” when you hand off to 2CO.
As promised, we are staying true to our commitment of continuously improving our customer experience. By offering our service in multiple languages and facilitating better communication with customers, we are taking one more step toward improving customer conversion rates.
Traditional Chinese, Danish, Dutch, French, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Norwegian, Portuguese, Slovenian, European Spanish, Latin Spanish, and Swedish are now available in addition to English. To see working examples and integration instructions, please see our updated Knowledge Base article “Do you offer any languages other than English?”
As we monitor the success of this first round of translations, we hope you continue to provide us suggestions for a second round of language translations that will help reach us out to even more customers.
Stay tuned for more news on positive changes to the purchase routine as we continue to test and refine our layout, research additional languages and consider alternative payment options. We thank all of you who provided valuable feedback throughout the testing process.

Hi,
thanks for adding this. It really helps making 2co an international transaction handler.
I would like to suggest for the next round, handling of Korean language.
Also, I would appreciate to see support for more currencies such as the brazilian REAL.
I think you should really focus on making 2co the most international possible.
Cordially,
Brakkar

Thanks for the kind words and suggestions, Brakkar.
I believe Korean is on the list for the next round of translations.
We are always looking to expand our international benefits, so add currencies whenever possible. Unfortunately, this does rely on our banking partners, so we don’t have direct control over currency support.

Hi there,
Congratulations on making the interface more widely available with the translations.
Here is a vote for the inclusion of the Hungarian language in a future round.
Like the Croatian vendor above, I’d be happy to help you with the translation of the interface.
Cheers,
“venividi” - 2CO vendor for several years

Thanks for the suggestions and thanks for the offers of assistance! I can’t help but think how these offers could have helped me in my University days *grin*
Seriously, our goal is to be able to reach as many people as we can. Your feedback is very useful for us and quite appreciated.

Thank you for the offer. I believe Russian is under consideration for a future round of translations. Unfortunately, I cannot currently estimate when it will be available, if it is.

I would also vote for Croatian translation, there are many users in Croatia and for sure you will have them more with Croatian translation.

I realize this is an old thread but, along with language suggestions, it is very, very useful for planning purposes to know what other tools you’d like to see to help reach a broader consumer base.
Currency support can be difficult from a settlement perspective. As Cliff stated, that is depending upon volume and third-party support on both the banking and acquiring side.
Payment methods are currently under a lot of analysis. What do your customers like to use to pay for goods or services online?

Hello,
My question is that;
Can we accept direct credit card payment from our website?
Do we need a merchant account for this?
can we set any bank account in any country independent where we live?
Or can individuals do that as well without establishing a company.
Thanks for your feedback

Hello, 2Chekcout allows people to accept credit card payments, and other payment methods for the goods and services they wish to sell online. Your customers must be directed to the 2Checkout purcahse routine to enter their billing information.
You do not need a merchant account to use our service.
You can set your bank country to a country independent of where you live.
You can signup for our service without having a established company.
If you have any other questions you are welcome to contact us directly for a quick response or post a new thread over on our community page.
