Hopefully you mean good “different” and not the opposite.
Everyone at 2Checkout is very excited about the new site and you’ll see a number of posts in the very near future that discuss our hopes for the development of a true 2Checkout community.

I have been pleasantly surprised today to see the new look. Really refreshing, and fast. I like it.

I don’t like it. Like site for children.
Or site with toys. Or enterteinment.
You should have look like bank or credit card processor, but not like that. My opinion - you should switch back to more official.

This site is as Olasa said — like a kid’s site, or for selling toys or cheap stuff from a discount shop; it has no professional feel for businesses that want to convey a serious business image when either clients of come for help on a purchase through 2CO, or as a vendor, looking for a serious e-commerce provider.
Proper B2B sites don’t look like this and this does not create a serious look.

Sorry 2CO, this is a step in the wrong direction. The previous version was clean, professional and focussed. If you don’t mind an honest opinion… this one looks like the designer could not decide on a style and ended up using bits of everything. It looks like information might be more easily accessible now, but you need to tie the whole design together visually.

I have to disagree. There is no reason that a business has to have a stuffy traditional design, or attempt to be like everyone else. It is nice to see someone trying something new and fun. You can have a little fun if you get the job done, which 2CO does.

Welcome in the Web 2.0 family! I am very impressed by the new design and, generally, by the new approach. I think that you made a very courageous step moving from the well-established conservative look and content to an innovative and contemporary look and content.
Have a long and succesful run!

Well, obviously the primary intent of the site has been realized: To provide our users with an easy interface with which to communicate with us and with each other.
You’ll see gradual changes to the layout but this is designed to be more information than an attempt to “sell” 2Checkout. There are other pages and venues available for that purpose.
We want potential new vendors to see that we have an interactive relationship with our existing vendor base and an easy way to share important industry and 2Checkout news with them and to have them support each other as well.
Thanks to everyone for participating so quickly and, please, spread the news!

oh my…
My first impression is that this new look doesn’t cut it. It simply doesn’t look serious enough to be an e-commerce enabler’s web site.
It looks cartoonish, really. Almost like it’s designed by a cartoonist from The Simpsons.
There’s no consistency in the type of fonts used as well as their sizes. Too many different fonts in different sizes in different places.
And those many different colors that don’t go well together are making my head spin.
I do log into 2CO every day and its new “community” design does affect how I feel.
Not good! Pls do a redesign, I say.

Oooh my gosh.
What went wrong?
I think they must rent “Spiky” as a web developer.
He summed it up 100%.
Are my credit card purchases still safe with this company??????
From the new look I am starting to worry.
My first impression was:
“Jack of all traders, MASTER of NONE”.
Well, 2CO might as well now start to put some affiliate links all over their site. They’ve got this far just go ahead.
And who knows, maybe with the next change we will see some flying banner adds doing crazy stuff all over your screen.
Sorry for the critical opinion but I think you have lost your image totally.
You did have a very focussed, professional and trustworthy site.
I am afraid I can not say the same about this new look.
Looks like something from a 3rd world country, but then again, I stay in one.

The new website looks good, however some of the text (like the login screen) is a bit large. Good idea on the community 2CO!
Is there anywhere we can put general suggestions to 2CO?

@crucial, feel free to start a topic in our forums. We always love getting feedback.

2CO is always open to suggestions from our vendors. A lot of what we are today is from the helpful suggestions we have received from vendors.
Email, ticket system, forum, these are all good places you can offer suggestions. Many of us here are keeping up on your forum posts on a daily basis. So if someone chose to open a Suggestion Thread within the forum, I think that would be a great idea. A good avenue for vendors to offer suggestions, show agreement/disagreement, and to receive feedback from the 2Checkout staff.
Great idea crucial, thanks

Hi,
As a web designer who maybe understands what you (2CO) wanted to accomplish with your new design, I’d highly recommend that you tone down the home page and the inside “business” pages, specifically, the inside pages where people who expect a more formal approach will need to visit.
Then I’d keep everything new you have in the community area where it is totally appropriate, even welcome.
In my experience, it feels like you have two competing goals and audiences. One expects something more formal and direct and easy to get to their information. Another (existing customers) might be enticed to contribute to the community if the site design were warm and welcoming and possibly even funky (e.g. in Firefox 2.0, the community login page has huge bug-eyed login input fields).
Just some thoughts. I do think some number of people you want will be turned off big time by the design as long as WorldPay and other competitors keep their button-downed look.

I couldn’t agree more with Tim! The features are nice and bring a breeze of fresh air but it’s not very clear who are you trying to reach with your new design. Also, a thing that was bugging me from some time is the lack of corporate identity - the big, ugly and common typeface used as a logo now could be transformed in something more meaningful than 2CO.
Anyways, good luck with your new website!

Community-oriented sites need to be fresher-looking, and should not be stuffy and boring. 2CO has definitely taken a step in the right direction.

New design is very poor and unprofessional.
It looks to me like 2co hired a new designer who has convinced them that such outlook is a kind of web2.0, cutting edge design etc.
And I’m sure that site design will be updated soon
