When used in conjunction with our Instant Notification System and CGI purchase parameters, the API will enable the creation of sophisticated and powerful order management systems.

We are currently conducting a private beta for the first 10 API calls. If you are a 2Checkout vendor or a software developer who would like to participate in this beta program, please send an email to techsupport@2co.com that includes the following information:

• Your Name
• Your 2CO Supplier ID Number(s)
• Your Preferred Email Address

If you are a third party software developer, we would like to know the name, and anything else you would like to tell us about, of the product you develop.

After confirming the submitted account information, we will begin contacting those selected to participate, in the coming weeks.

The First 10 API Calls:

• acct/detail_company_info
• acct/detail_contact_info
• sales/create_comment
• sales/detail_sale
• sales/list_sales
• sales/mark_shipped
• sales/reauth
• sales/refund_invoice
• sales/refund_lineitem
• sales/stop_lineitem_recurring

We have been working closely with a variety of established affiliate marketers to design this new program and now, we would like to extend the invitation to participate in beta testing to the rest of our suppliers and affiliate marketers.

Specifically, we want your feedback about the following:

• General usability of the system
• Fullness of the 2CO Affiliates feature-set in comparison to existing networks
• Overall functionality
• Missing features and functions that are crucial to your success as an affiliate
• Accuracy and helpfulness of our help topics

If you would like to participate in this beta program, please provide the following information in an email to affiliatetest@2co.com no later than September 25, 2009:

• Your Supplier/Vendor ID Number
• Your Name
• Your Website URL

We will begin responding to approved beta testers with welcome letters and other necessary information on October 2, 2009.

This new version has streamlined message parameter definitions, and more INS messages than the original preview version.

Messages in this release:

• Order Created
• Fraud Status Changed
• Shipping Status Changed
• Invoice Status Changed
• Refund Issued
• Recurring Installment Success
• Recurring Installment Failed
• Recurring Stopped
• Recurring Complete
• Recurring Restarted

A full set of updated, streamlined and simplified documentation is posted online will be posted online soon. These documents provide detailed information and multiple examples of the parameters that are passed back for each message.

In this release, all messages will share one of 2 parameter set definitions: Item level or Invoice level. Additionally, some parameters have been added, including:

• customer_ip
• customer_ip_country
• ship_status
• ship_tracking_number

Detailed descriptions of the new parameters will be provided in the new documentation. Release details and new documentation will be posted online soon; we’d like to thank everyone again for their participation and feedback!

Please Note: The INS Opt-in can only be found within our new Vendor Area, located here. Use your regular username & password from the old Vendor Area to login.

Also, keep in mind that suppliers can make use of the Instant Notification Service Simulator within the developers.2Checkout area as an additional way to test their INS scripts.

To enroll in the Affiliate Program, suppliers will first need to agree to the new Terms of Service and Operating regulations for the program. About a month ago, a 2CO community member started a thread in the forums asking if 2Checkout would consider an integrated affiliate network. It was good timing, because we are. We’re currently researching the possibilities and would love to get some feedback from our suppliers and the public at large.

This is currently a high priority for our developers, so now is a great time to take advantage of this opportunity. The more information you can provide, the better. We’d love to know exactly what you want from a 2CO affiliate program, so no detail is too small.
