Can I use 2CO w/ a Yahoo Store?

As far as we know, you cannot use our services with a Yahoo! store because of the way they have choosen to set up their payment processing gateway. We are not compatible with their gateway services at this point in time.

You may be able to find a 3rd Party Shopping Cart that can meet your needs.

What Do Customers See On Their Statement?

2CO is happy to offer additional descriptor support that aids in name-recognition and provides customers with additional security in the event they encounter a problem or question regarding their purchase.

Suppliers have the option to set up a 9 character descriptor that will appear on the CC statement of your buyers. It will follow the 2CO descriptor, and also list our toll free number to call for assistance.

To set up this function:

  1. Login to the Suppliers’ Admin Area;
  2. Select on “2. Additional Site Information”;
  3. Make the desired changes to the soft descriptor;
  4. Click save.

Please note that some financial institutions may not display the soft descriptor to the customer on their credit card statement.

How do I use the continue shopping button?

The continue shopping button works like this:
#1 If return_url is passed in, it returns to the page (i.e. return_url=http://www.example.com/mypage.html).
#2 If that is not passed in, it returns to the page the buyer clicked “buy” (by http_referer) from on your site (doesn’t work if you are testing from a page on your pc).
#3 If those 2 things are blank, it returns to the website url listed on the account.

Below are examples of how the return_url parameter may be implemented.

Form:
<form action="https://www.2checkout.com/checkout/purchase" method="post">
<input type="hidden" name="sid" value="XXXXXX">
<input type="hidden" name="quantity" value="1">
<input type="hidden" name="product_id" value="1">
<input type="hidden" name="return_url" value="http://www.example.com/mypage.html">
<input name="submit" type="submit" value="Buy from 2CO">
</form>

Hyperlink:
<a href="https://www.2checkout.com/checkout/purchase?sid=XXXXXX&quantity=1&product_id=1&return_url=http://www.example.com/mypage.html>Buy from 2CO</a>

Can I have multiple 2checkout.com accounts?

The 2checkout.com license is for 1 website. You can only use your account for the web site that is registered on your account. Vendors wishing to sell products from more than 1 website would need to sign-up for additional accounts.

You can obtain additional licenses from us for your other web sites. You would sign up for a new account, pay the $49.00 USD enrollment fee, and once you’ve received the new SellerID, send in an email to risk@2co.com with your current & new IDs. We will credit the new account balance, and each additional license, the $19.00 USD discount, once we verify the accounts are all for your use.

Please note: You can not get a Referral Payment for signing up for a second account and receive a discount for the second account.

How do I request payment from my buyers?

You can use our Request Payment Options to have an invoice emailed to your customer. The email will have a link to a payment form where the buyer can make payment to you.

In the Classic Sellers Area, you can send a request by clicking the Create Invoice link in the Helpful links box on your account home page and entering the required information in the invoice form.

In the new Vendors Administration Area, you can send a request by clicking the Sales tab on your account home page and then clicking the Request Invoice sub tab on the Sales page and fill in the required  information in the invoice form.

Why won’t my parameters pass back?

Parameters are only passed back to a script. This means your Return Address needs to end in a script extension (cgi, pl, php, asp, jsp, ETC).
