Sign up page for affiliates

How do I put up a sign up page for affiliates? A lot of my customers feel interested about promoting my product but I have no clue how to make them my affiliates.

Do they need to sign up with 2CO for $49 fees?

Can I put a sign-up form on my website so that they register there?

Someone please shed some light on this!

Moderation sections in the affiliate program

Why do not moderate the sections in the affiliate program, for example in the section Electronics sell e-books, etc.?

How long does affiliate cookie live?

Customer came from affiliate – purchased few products with 25% discount code – I guess he found it somethere in Internet (so I couldn’t make any profits because of such combination)

Few days later he made purchase again – and again with discount 25% code. And again I paid 25% affiliate commissions.

Question is: how long to wait till relations between affiliate and customer “wears off”? I wanted to offer special discounts to this customer – but combined with affiliate commission it makes deals non-profitable. It’s not fair to leave good customer w/o special discounts – I guess. Now I’m thinking to either remove affiliate commissions or make them alot less than 25% (like 10 or so) – which is the same thing.

Affiliate links to Vendor sites

I’m new to the affiliate program. Got some concerns about it, as I see others have. Just wondering about the quality of the consultation you took on this if this is the final product.

I have set up a system on my website, whereby an affiliate only needs to link to me to make sales. I now see on this forum (information in general on 2CO is VERY hard to find and seems to be scattered around the place in forum/blog posts) that sales from an affiliate must come from the affiliate’s website (news to me).

I presume you check the “referer”? Under my system, the affiliate simply makes a link to my site. The customer then purchases from MY site. Therefore my site will be the “referer”. Does this mean the sale will/won’t go through? Does this mean the affiliate will/won’t get commission?

This is the format of the purchase link on my site:

AFFILIATE PROGRAM: Any vendor using this?

Is there any vendor using affiliate program?

Please post your impressions here.

PS: Again this post did not go to the AFFILIATE PROGRAM section.

AFFILIATE PROGRAM: Seriously Flawed

Hello all,

The affiliate program has been in the works for a good part of a decade..

Finally it is finished but it does not serve a purpose at all.

1. Affiliates can see their signups in their account only after 60 days! Hello, did i miss something here???

It doesn’t matter when the affiliate would be paid but they should be able to see their signups real time or as soon as order is approved. I believe this is an industry first!!! 60 days!!!

2. No affiliate ID is passed back to our backend after a signup!

Vendors might need to take different actions depending on different affiliates. Affiliate ID is a must. So many useless parameters being passed, why is the affiliate ID being left out?

3. Affiliates go through the same kind of screening process vendors do.

This is outright wrong and extra hassle for people interested in our items. Our affiliate is not selling a product — we are. Already we, the vendors, are scrutinized for hte products we are offering. An affiliate is just a person who markets our products… they do not sell anything of their our own. If they want to sell something their own, let them sign up to be a vendor and check their products/account accordingly. This defeats the whole purpose of an AFFILIATE/RESELLER scheme.

Fine there is fraud with the affiliate. So what? We are the vendors, we scrutinize our own orders from wherever it is coming… and it is our CHARGEBACK from our products — not our affiliates. Why all this hassle for a person who wants to market our product?

9 years and you have still nothing functional.

I am disappointed.

PS: Cannot submit on AFFILIATE SECTION… Goes to Getting Started even if AFFILIATE PROGRAM is chosen! Duh!

Appoved and Pending URLs

I was trying to make a payment transaction in a demo mode, after I filled up my basic information, billing information and credit card information, it redirected me to the Order Summary page saying that my order was successfully submitted. I was expecting that after the transaction it would redirect me to the approved or pending URL’s that I entered on my account page. I just want to ask why it is not redirecting to those URL’s. Thanks!

Affiliate Program

Why is 2Checkout’s Affiliate Program geared towards other Suppliers only?

In order to advertise my product effectively I need an Affiliate Program that allows anyone to sign up for an affiliate account through 2Checkout fast and painless without having to pay the one time activation fee or have a website verfied.

Anyone should be able to sign up for an Affiliate Program through 2Checkout for free and then send emails with links in them to the products they are promoting. If they have a website, they can also display links there, but not everyone has a website.

Also, there is no easy way to find intructions how to sign up as an affiliate. There needs to be a link on the home page that they can follow.

Does anyone else feel the same way I do?

There was a recent meeting of the minds on improving the affiliate program at the end of July. Is anyone from 2Checkout going to list the meeting notes or what was discussed and what improvements they intend to make?

Affiliate program questions

Hi,
can I use the single puchase page for my affiliate link, like:

https://www.2checkout.com/checkout/spurchase?sid=XXXXX&quantity=1&product_id=3&aff_id=XXXXX

Will the affiliate comission correctly be tracked ?

Secondly, I have someone who doesn’t have a 2co account, but wants to sell my product as my affiliate.

Should they signup to 2co from the regular link: https://www2.2checkout.com/2co/signup even if they only want to be my affiliate ? The $49 one time signup fee is not good for wanabe affiliate only….

Brakkar

All the questions I have about the affiliate program…

… that I could think of at the moment.

I see that “Commissions will be paid to the Affiliates no sooner than sixty (60) days after the funds are received by 2CO.”. Can this be changed to a longer period of time? I currently offer a 60 day money back guarantee that might get upped to 70 or 90 and don’t want the affiliate to get the commission before this time is up.

Is it possible to offer different commission levels? Ideally, I’d like to be able to have at least 2 different commission levels so I can offer one to the general public with a lower commission.

How much control do I have over my affiliates? Can I see which affiliates (usernames) are selling what? Can I ban individuals who I feel are spamming my link, or causing me a high level of chargebacks, etc?

How does the affiliate system actually work? Do my affiliates give out links to http://www.mystore.com/?affid=joebob and I am responsible for passing their ID along with the order, or do they give out links directly to 2co? I am really hoping for the former.

Thanks for answering my questions and for adding the affiliate category!
