Feature Requests »

Once for all: allow us to set product price in any currency !!

Hi,
I had good experience with using 2co since over 2 years, but there is a BASIC feature i’m missing, and i’m starting to look at alternatives.

I brought this up already, but see no change.

Ok, please, PLEASE implement the ability to set a price for a product in another currency than account currency only.

Currently, I, and probably many others are missing a lot of sales, because of this inability.

I’m selling a product for 49.95 brazilian real.
How am I supposed to advertise this price on my web site’s product page ?
Customer will NEVER see this price, because you only allow us to set price in account currency (USD in my case). So depending on dollar / brazilian real rate, customer may see on the 2co page, 48.56 brazilian real, or even 51.21 brazilian real…. do you think a customer will purchase a product advertised at a price, and billed at another, possibly higher ? I WON’T !! This doesn’t look serious.

Allow us to specify the price in any supported currency. Then, in the background, you convert it in account currency for processing, but we must have control over both price and currency for each product, to control what we show to our clients.

So in the product setup page from the admin, you should let us specify a price AND a currency.

All other credit card processor, such as paypal, worldpay and all the other, allow this.
It’s time that you do, because right now, I simply can’t display a purchase price in a supported currency, because it won’t match the price on 2co buy page.

This is a MAJOR problem, and I hope it will be resolved soon.

Billing in UAE Dirhams

Hello

I am a long time vendor for 2checkout.com and had your account since 2003.

Recently due to a boom in the UAE economy especially in Dubai (you must have heard of it), I moved there to explore new business avenues.

Dubai/Abu Dhabi have to offer a lot and there is tons of new companies being setup there. The sheikh (regular twitter user) is personally taking interest in developing UAE into an IT hub that flourishes with innovation.

It is time 2checkout allows its clients to bill in UAE Dirhams which is $1/AED 3.65.

Can you arrange this for your UAE vendors?

Globalcollect.com should be able to help you because recently the Emirates Airlines started using them.

Please direct the attention of this post to Allan and let us know your thoughts.

Thanks
Saf.

arabic checkout

can i do the checkot in arabic as all my website in arabic.
if yes, how please?
i have membership types subscription with no shipment, any example on the above?

Managing Products

I have a lot of products to manage. Am I alone in finding it difficult with the current facilities?

I have in the past uploaded products in CSV format, but I cannot find the CSV file that I used to upload them. There is no facility to download a CSV file. There is no report that lists all the details of some or all products. I believe that this is a gap in the facilities provided by 2Checkout.

Are there any workarounds to the above?

Maximum Payment Amount

I’ve got offer from 2CO to collect votes for new feature.

The Feature request is to extend Payment Profile with “Maximum Payment Amount” that will complement “Release Level” in the way that even if balance contain for some reason more then the maximum, only maximum is released, the leftover stays on balance and will meet next week release criteria of active Payment Profile.

These will be useful if:

  • you are trying out new Payment Profile but do not want to release all balance to new destination
  • you are having several profiles and need only small portion of weekly balance on one of profiles
  • intermediatery banks charge much more if wire exceeds specific amount, it would be nothing wrong if part of balance will be left for another week

Give your “Thumb up” for this post, please, or drop your “+1″ comment below, with your own applications of the feature.

Documentation

You have any? I’ve spent quite some time looking for it, no success.

Spent many more hours guessing my way through your system, because of the lack of documentation.

All the usual brick walls I see after reading some of the User posts.

Do you mean to tell me the only documentation you have a is a User Forum?

Would it be too much to ask a company of your size, to spend a little or your revenue to create some User friendly guides?

2Checkout Donate button

Hi,
I suppose this is more question for Company itself but if anyone out there has experience please speak out.
Does 2Checkout support concept of Donate button like its the case with PayPal donate button?
I’ve read about 2Checkout randomly calling people when they regularly purchase product.
If donate model is supported, do they call in donate scenario also?
I’m trying to get picture of what my clients may expect from this donate scenario (if it exists of course).

Regards,
Sinisa

Multiple shopping sites using one vendor login?

Hi,
I run multiple shopping sites under one registered business. When I use 2checkout can I setup multiple shopping sites/checkouts under one vendor login or do I have to apply for a new vendor login for each shopping site I own?

New Subscriptions…Why Add 2 Days?

Something that has been bugging me for awhile is that all new subscriptions are given two extra days before there 2nd installment payment is processed.

For example: I had a subscription created today (7.27.2009)…It is set to rebill every 6 months which would bring us to a 01/27/2010 rebill date. The problem is, 2 Checkout is showing the rebill date as 2010-01-29.

Why the 2 extra days? This happens with all subscriptions that I have seen. After this 2nd installment, rebills happen at there normal intervals.

Please stop changing currency automatically.

Hi,

Seems like 2CO recently started automatically changing customer’s currency based on the country (IP). Please stop that (or make a per-account option NOT to) as we all know what your exchange rates are like.

My account has prices set in USD. Customer should be charged in USD unless he/she EXPLICITLY changes his/her currency into EUR, don’t change it for him/her automatically!

An example: customer should have been charged $468. He will be paying with PayPal and his PayPal account is in USD. But because 2CO automatically changed his currency into EUR (what the customer failed to notice) he was charged based on two lousy conversion rates (2CO changed $468 to EUR then PayPal changed his USD funds into EUR as well) and was charged $34 more than he should have been.

So, my request is – don’t change customer’s currency automatically (or provide a setting where we can turn this off for our account). If the prices are in USD the customer should be charged in USD unless he/she explicitly changes the currency to something else.

Thank you!
