Can I change the look of ugly checkout page?

The order and checkout pages have unsightly looking banners on the top and left side.

Is there a way to change this?

I remember some instructions awhile back that allowed one to put up one’s home site banners and such.

How do I get rid of the default 2checkout/paypal banners so that the checkout page blends better with the motif and colour of my webpage?

Status Request – Recurring Payments

Dear 2checkout,

We are using the system for over 2 years now and are really happy with it. Next to 2co we have paypal running as a payment option.

With Paypal you can create a recurring product like you create a normal one-time product, only difference is that you provide a few extra parameters like billing interval, billing period and till when recurring should take place (in most cases this would be forever i guess).

As far as I know now it is only possible to create a recurring product in the admin area and pass the product_id in the form when having a customer signing up in 2co.

The problem is that as we are a hosting company we have customers being billed every month but invoices are almost never the same with over 500 customers. Importing recurring products with a CSV file will also not be ideal as you can have the scenario where you a customer is signing up and will pay for their first invoice while adding a recurring product (either manually or via csv import) will happen later in most cases.

It shouldn’t be too hard to implement form parameters which allow recurring products to be created real time right?

Just wanted to know if this is already being implemented or if there is any ETA.

Free Trial for customers

I know this is noy currently possible but I would love to have this feature so i can offer my cutomers a free trial of my product and then start biling them in one month.

We offer recurring products (like a subscription) and want to give the customer the first month free but would like them to insert credit card to prove comitment.

We have tried a $1 dollar special for the first month because this is all we can do at the momment but nothing converts better than free.

Is this technicaly possible?
I know its not available at he momment but technicaly can this be done with merchant accounts etc.

If so can I add this as a feature request.

Why Exchange Rates are not available to 2CO merchants???

Hi There,

I’ve been with 2CO for a while now. Although 2CO is very good in all aspects except one big issue since the begining!!!! Why 2CO exchange rates are soooooo…. poor??? i think 2CO is eating my hard earned money!!! 2CO’s conversion rates from other currencies to USD are poorest i can see anywhere! Can someone tell me where i see the daily exchange rates used by 2CO? and where does 2CO get such rates?
2CO keeps ignoring all relevant posts without satisfactory answers without thinking this is creating a really bad effect on merchants who are suffering from this!

Currency Exchange Problem

I have my currency set to USD in my 2checkout accountl. If someone in Canada or another country orders, the order page will show a different price depending on where the customer lives.

For example, I have a recurring order for $4usd per month. If a customer from Canada orders, it will show $4.75cad

This means non of my product prices match my web site. This confuses my customers.

2checkout.com should do one of the following:

1. Allow me to show prices in USD for all clients no matter where they live.

2. Have a summery of costs which includes price in my currency (USD), Exchange rate %, Then price in customer’s currency.

2CO Recurring Payments Shopping Cart

Hi,

I’ve been searching for weeks for the best combination of eCommerce shopping carts & payment gateways to use for my upcoming online store and I finally chose 2CO as my payment gateway.

I’m going to offer subscriptions, where people subscribe and receive certain info on periodical basis, hence the need for recurring payments.

I found out that 2CO does support recurring payments.. but i am stuck now as I can’t find a suitable – open source or commercial – shopping cart that supports the recurring payments options or INS..!! I’ve researched more than 75 shopping carts so far but still not sure which one supports 2CO recurring payments!!

What I wish to do, is to have my website configured with any shopping cart that supports subscriptions & recurring payments, like AspDotNetStoreFront, Ubercart, etc so I can have it display all the sales information of my subscription products sold through 2CO.. is that possible?

Please recommend shopping carts – open source or commercial- that would work with your recurring billing features? or INS!

Paypal option – not all of us want it!

We’ve had a few transactions go wrong (for example, money debited from customer’s card, without vendor notification of order) when customers try to use the PayPal option.

Having mostly corporate customers, we find the PayPal option on 2CO just a nuisance that is costing us business and reputation.

May I suggest an option in the Site Management area, to select which payment methods are allowed for customers.

In particular, there should be an option to disable PayPal. If we wanted to accept PayPal, we can sign up for free and pay less in commissions; but I’m sure everyone knows this already.

Exchange Rate Default Setting

Thank you very much for all the follow ups on my last post regarding our complaint about exchange rates. However, the problem is still out there. I am sure your rates are competitive if you say so however, it still doesn’t address the original problem. We are still unhappy that you are arbitrarily changing the currency of sale on us by default. If we bill our client in US dollars we expect you to. The option to change to the currency of their country is presented and buyers can choose to use it but it is both confusing and wrong to make it a default setting. We are still very keen to have our cart set in such a way that the client is always billed in US dollars regardless of their location, wheras now the default setting is to change the currency to the location of the buyer based on their IP address. You are welcome to leave the flags on the top of the screen as an option which the client may opt to use but we do not want the currency to change by default.

Having it this way will also negate any risk of the client being unhappy if we need to refund as the bill and refund will be in the same currency and it will be their card issuer who has to answer those questions.

The bottom line is that if we continue to lose clients in markets outside the USA because your system changes currency on them by default, making them uncomfortable, then the attractiveness of your product begins to wane.

Can this be changed?

We would like a feature to be added which can provide the list of all the accounts for which we have stopped the recurring billing. It would be very helpful. Please add it at the earliest.
