INS parameters
June 19th, 2008, by: gvalexSimple Security for Intangible Products
May 20th, 2008, by: cliff 2CO StaffA couple times a year, we’ll see a blog or forum post on another site that claims an unscrupulus customer could “hack” 2Checkout to receive the vendor’s product for free. Some of these will include a video or tutorial demonstrating the “hacking” method. All of these, without exception, involve using the demo parameter and are easily prevented.
The Knowledge Base article Can someone steal my downloadable product/service by including the demo parameter? describes this issue in more detail and provides two solutions. One is fairly technical and involves checking the MD5 hash. The other is very simple and involves nothing more than choosing to disable the demo parameter in your 2CO account.
My Credit card blocked??
May 13th, 2008, by: miraydinkhanI have tried to make shopping from kinoman.de
Then I was referred to www.2checkout.com for the payment.
After putting down my credit card number then there is opened a page with the logo of my Bank. I wrongly fulfilled the customer number 3 times and my credit card was blocked at your website.
How can I open this blockage on www.2checkout.com in order to write the information correctly and make payment.
Yourt sincerely

Not accepting parameters
April 24th, 2008, by: crox2CO doesn’t seem to accept any of the parameters I send to it, neither by GET nor by POST. Instead all I get is a page showing a product (TESTCART) with the price of $1 and a message saying “This is a demo sale. Your card will not be charged.”.
I’m trying all kinds of routes (Ubercart, manual and even 2CO’s own example links) and always end up at the same place.
An example (with hidden customer ID):
https://www.2checkout.com/2co/buyer/purchase?sid=&total=35&cart_order_id=12587529&c_prod=my_product&id_type=1
Demo mode is set to parameter and I have tried with all. demo=Y, demo=N and even excluding the parameter all together. No improvement..
Can anyone please help me figure out what is wrong and how I can fix it?
oscommerce Return URL
April 21st, 2008, by: mockbaI’m using the new contribution 5664, that comes with the oscommerce-2.2rc2a. My problem is defining the return URL from 2checkout to oscommerce as your recommendations to use contribution 904 and http://www.example.com/catalog/pm2checkout_process.php are not applicable anymore. How can we solve this? I have already raised the issue in the oscommerce forums but I have not got a solution, I wounder if any of the new subscribers to 2checkout and using oscommerce have encountered such a problem.
2CO loosing sales with FXsource
April 4th, 2008, by: myroslavWe’re somewhat frustrated about amount of time it takes to resolve the issue with sale that went via FXsource way. It is not the first time that 2CheckOut cannot associate our money with our account. Thanks God, our customer is patient one and help us to resolve the issue, many other would not!
1) Customer started process with the 2CO Invoice link we’ve provided to him.
2) He selected FXsource as payment method.
3) 2Checkout in cooperation with FXsource generated reference number for him to use in wire transfer to FXsource.
4) He did send money from his bank account using reference number from 2CO
5) They promptly appeared on FXsource (we can see that with check routine, http://fxsource.com/fxs/sndr_find_transaction.fx, with reference number) on 25th of March.
6) 2Checkout doesn’t register money as our sale for 10 days already.
We’ve contacted 2CheckOut via ticket 2340-ERPJ-8883, we’ve called 2CO to resolve it in speedier manner. 2CheckOut refuses to do any action and points to FXsource…
Is integration between FXsource and 2CO MY problem? If money get stuck between card processor and 2CO should I deal with card processor 2ChoutOut integrates with?
Nevertheless I contacted FXsource, while I couldn’t find anyone at support, at sales I’ve been peacefully understood and promised to be resolved between FXsource and 2CheckOut internally.
There is little progress still.
Is anyone experiencing issues like this? How did you resolve them? Why am I spending my time to solve problems in integration between 2CO and FXsource?
I’d welcome comments of 2CO vendors, buyers and 2CO staff. Thanks.
Implement recurring using third party carts
April 3rd, 2008, by: mockbaI have setup an online catalog using oscommerce cart, I have some goods that are setup in this online cart, those will require monthly payments (subscription). What I want to do is setup a recurring solution from my 3rd party cart and synchronize it with my 2checkout account. What are the parameters that I need to pass from my cart to your system and what are the parameters that I will get in response?

2co API - Cancel recurring billing
April 1st, 2008, by: chevyRe: “Recurring billing - customer updating/cancelling subscription” posted August 1, 2007 by dgburton
Am I to understand there is no way for a merchant of a periodic subscription-based service to cancel a subscription without logging into his or her 2co account or otherwise manually contacting 2co?
Is there no automated way of doing this through the API? This model makes it very difficult for vendors who want to offer subscription “upgrades” without sending their customers to 2co only to cancel their previous subscription.
