2Checkout Refund

When 2Checkout issues a refund, do they also refund the portion of the fee they took on the order?

Problems with 2checkout

I thought it would be useful to provide a list of issues the 2checkout system has so that they can be fixed and other people can see these issues also.

1 – Cookies/session tracking does not work correctly, if a customer tries to by and item but does not complete the process and then tries to use the checkout again they often can not do this correctly without clearing their cookies and restarting their browser. I have noticed this myself and has numerous clients mention this.

2 – If you use a currency other than USD the admin system is very confusing as currencies are not clearly stated throughout the system.

3 – dates are displayed in many different formats throughout the admin system even on the same page dates will be displayed in many different formats

4 – the reoccurring billings implementation is very lacking in features at best. There is absolutely no way to tell how many new customers have signed up in any given period, the best you can get is a list of sales including all existing agreements.

5 – declined reoccurring sales are extremely difficult to track, as they will not always be displayed in the declined billings section.

6 – notification emails for reoccurring billings are completely unreliable sometimes you will get them sometimes you will not.

7 – Make sure you keep all of your own records as 2checkouts records are sketch at best.

If you only intend on doing a very small number of online billing then 2checkout will do you just fine. If you intend on making a reasonable number of online transactions do yourself a favour and go with a more reliable/reputable billing company you will be glad of it in the long run.

2checkout should implement similar to paypal IPN like payment notification

Hi

2checkout should implement similar to paypal IPN like payment notification.

This is expecially important for recurring billing.

Currently I am not using 2checkout for subscriptions because there is not information if somebody is paying every month.

Manual deactivating members which did not pay is pain and really not an options if you have thousands of paying members.

So my request would be to add IPN like notification about payment.

Who is with me please post your comments.

Maybe if 2checkout see enough people interested in IPN we can get this feature.

2Checkout Refunding Customers

On several occasions 2Checkout has refunded customers when we have provided them with a service. The customer has lied and claimed that they have not received service, yet we have proof that they have been provided a service.

Was is 2checkout ripping of vendors by doing this, and only working with the customers and not the vendors?

Subscription Products

Hello,

I am wondering how the renewal process works with subscription products here at 2Checkout.

Is it left to the vendor to keep track and email the customers accordingly?
Is it a fully automated service?
Do the customers get a chance to cancel their subscription?

Customizing Payment Pages

Hi,

I have setup my payment area with a simple form that customer can input the amount they want to pay and proceed to make the payment.

Is there anyway I can customize the payment pages? These are the white pages that you see right after you make a payment or purchase something? Is this possible with a 3rd party shopping cart software?

I want to customize these pages so that it looks seamless with my site.

“Risk department” ignoring me….

i have a problem since i signed-up for 2co account, and i contacted the customer support team since 3 days and no answer, they saying they supporting customers 24 hours in a day, 7 days in week, but i didn’t seen any thing from that,my bussiness is delayed because of that, and i don’t know how i can fix that, what i can do now, and which one can help me…..

What about customer fraud?

Hi,

2checkout is very quick (as they were today) to issue a refund to a customer, but what about when the customer is out and out fraudulent. I’m not talking about someone using a fake card, I’m talking about a verified customer lying.

Today, I was corresponding with a customer who wrote in, unhappy with one of our policies. I wrote a reply within 20 minutes explaining why our policy existing, but as soon as I hit “send,” I noticed a mail for 2checkout saying that the order had been refunded! The explanation – the customer claimed she hadn’t made the order.

I know this to be untrue, because I was just corresponding with her! I wrote to 2checkout about this, asking them to investigate, entered comments in the order details, wrote to them again, and I have received no reply.

I guess it’s always the merchant who has to pay for fraud. I would have given the customer a partial refund, but I never had the chance. 2checkout unilaterally reached into my pocket for me!

I wouldn’t use the forum to air this complaint except that 2checkout hasn’t bothered to respond.

Has anyone had similar experiences?
