Chargeback and 2CO
January 31st, 2009, by: parveshAttention Vendors: Suspicious Emails?
January 30th, 2009, by: tarcher 2CO StaffHello Vendors,
Recently we have received several reports of our vendors receiving email notification that their banking details have been changed. This appears to be an automated email sent from our system. HOWEVER; The accounts in question have not had such an email generated for them. Additionally, there are some reports that links in these emails redirect to a 2CO Seller’s Area Login page hosted on 2chOckout.com. The page at 2chOckout.com is completely identical to the page that all vendors use to login to their accounts, EXCEPT THAT IT IS NOT AFFILIATED WITH 2CHECKOUT.COM.
Please take extra precautions when logging in to your account with us to ensure that you are at the correct site before you provide any of your details. You will know that you have reached the correct site when your address bar states 2Checkout.com. You will also notice that when logging in, you are also on a secured page. Be aware as well that we will never request your password from you in any form other than when you are accessing your account. We will also never request complete details of your banking information in contacts such as e-mail, telephone conversations, or during a live chat.
We take any form of threat to the private information of our vendors very seriously, and please be sure that we are researching this matter and will provide updates when they are appropriate and available.
If you believe that the security of your account has been compromised, contact us immediately and request that your password be reset on your behalf. Please expect that you will have to verify additional information on your account before the password reset will be granted, but understand that any extra security measure we take is to your benefit. After receiving a new password, please ensure that all of your account details are correct and report any discrepancies that you find, as well as any information you may have regarding this issue, to risk@2co.com. We will respond to your questions and concerns directly.
We appreciate your diligence in this matter, and assure you that we will do everything within our power to protect the interests of our clients, vendors and customers alike.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

Already have a Payoneer Debit Card from ReviewMe.com
November 29th, 2008, by: tigerhostbdI already have a Payoneer Debit Card from ReviewMe.com. What should I do now? Should I use this card with 2Checkout.com or I have to order a new card?
The fees for 2Checkout.com’s payoneer card is different from the fees of Reviewme.com’s payonner debit card.
In v2 no notification of refund sent to vendor
November 28th, 2008, by: denzo2In the past whenever I cancelled or refunded a transaction I was immediately sent a “transaction modified” email. Now in version 2 when I cancel a transaction I no longer receive notice of the modification. This is very annoying. Why do we no longer receive a transaction modified email?
2checkout.com and software products
November 13th, 2008, by: ecustomerFrom past experience with 2checkout.com i would advise anyone to double-check in advance whether they really want to sell software with 2checkout.com. First of all the no no-refund policy attracts scammers and fraud like bees to a honeypot, and with this policy people can download the software and just demand a refund. Contrary to belief posted here, a chargeback on the other hand cannot be based on a “product was not satisfying”, at least not if the dispute is escalated properly. 2checkout.com basically puts all the risk to the vendor concerning this – this may work if the risk is factored into the product price. I assume this policy is a must for 2checkout.com because it is a reseller, but at the end of the day it is not competitive to payment providers.
We integrated complicated licensing schemes to work around this (timed licenses), just to find out that 2checkout.com did not want to resell our software. Our software was not on the prohibited list, however it was told to me by the risk department that our software was to risky anyways, because of “possible” legal problems. This “possible” risk, as explained to me really applies to pretty much all software that interfaces with another product, because by interfacing IP “maybe” be involved. At the end of the day 2checkout.com will not sell any software product that even has a remotely risk involved. This is probably also due to their status as a reseller.
I do understand their stance on this as a reseller, but one has to ask whether that model is suitable for any but the most mundane and simple software products. So my advice is before you get an account and start making a site that is suitable for 2checkout.com, triple check first whether it won’t be rejected out of the blue and ask yourself whether a regular payment provider does the job just fine.
Another issue probably is the lack of resilience against baseless complaints. A company that does not list software products with a residual risk, probably won’t keep it either when any complaint (whatsoever baseless) comes in.
2CO Reloadable Master Card
September 23rd, 2008, by: joomlahbsI am a Vendor of 2checkout.com and I want to signup for 2CO Master Card but i have few question:
1. If i apply for this card where from i can pickup cash? From any bank of my country or any where around the world.
2. Do I need to pay any extra transaction fee?
2CO for selling e-Products still not good enough
September 22nd, 2008, by: hammadEven in PayPal the policy of e-products are different…
You guys need to understand that e-products once sold can not be refund…
the code is given to client he can simply copy and charge back…
Buyers simply said “vendor done fraud, product is not as promised.” and you refund the amount…
there is no way you can judge the case, you cannot say that vendor is wrong since you are not an escrow service..
so, policy for e-products should be, once sold can not be return or refund.
until you change policy, 2CO is not recommended for e-products selling..
