Hello 2CO,
What is the FCC approval number of the Medison Celebrity laptop?
I have been following the forum discussions and some blogs about the Medison Celebrity laptop and one of the concerns that have been raised is that the Medison Celebrity laptop does not appear to be FCC approved.
It is my understanding that you as a reseller must ensure that laptops sold on the US market must be FCC approved. I am not familiar enough with the FCC regulations to tell what happends if you are selling non-FCC approved gear, but I suppose that’s irrelevant. I want my laptop to be FCC approved, that’s all.
Can you confirm that the Medison laptop is FCC approved? A FCC approval id would be much appreciated.

I’m in no way a specialist of US law, but it’s my understanding that your are the importer, not 2Co. So as long as you, the buyer, doesn’t import more than 3 units and do not intent to sell them in the US, it’s a class B computer not subject to FCC approval.

2co has described the process as you agree to buy an item, they make the purchase for you in real time, and then the product gets delivered to you.
So, unless they only do this for 3 people, it kinda seems like they are an importer. I don’t think just because they buy them 1 or 2 at a time qualifies them for fcc exemption.
I still don’t understand why there is no shipping price yet, and whether there is going to be any customs charges.

2CO,

I know that someone, be it you or someone else, is supposed to obtain FCC approval to sell the device in the US. If I may be required to obtain FCC approval myself because the laptop is lacking FCC approval, I would like to know so before I order one.
Please advise.

Here is a simple question asked by a customer that 2Co has ignored for a week. It seems like a simple question. Is a product that 2Co is selling FCC approved? What policy could that posibly break by answering?

We cannot comment on FCC approval for a product we do not sell.
