Predicted 2co response:

I apologize for being away from the forums for so long regarding this matter. I can tell you that Medison has been given a deadline. If that deadline is not met, all standing orders will be canceled and you will be notified when you can place your order again. This is not a reflection on Valdi, Medison or the product, but on system management and back end fulfillment issues. I thank you all for taking part on the forums and look forward to future discussions.

either that or they will ignore or close the thread.

… yea but that has nothing to do with the topic?

This post is floating around several web forums. There is no way of telling the origins of the post because it was posted anonymously. Valdi does not speak to the press so it is most likely a bluff.

Medison is changing webhotel for the websites http://www.medison.se and
http://www.medisoncelebrity.com.

We are told that the redelegation will take up to 48 hours before our
websites will work again. We are doing our best to speed up the process.

During this time it will not be able to buy Medison Celebrity laptops
and it will not be able to reach us on e-mails.

Temporarily e-mail addresses are being set up and will be posted in
public asap.

Everyone who has ordered a Medison Celebrity laptop will receive a
laptop. For checking your orders or cancel the order, please contact
2CO on http://www.2checkout.com during these days.

Sincerely,
Valdi Ivancic
CEO & President
Medison Europe Limited

Medison is changing webhotel, closing all email addresses and thus closing the only channel by which customers can contact Medison, during a critical time of delivery and logistics problems. They did not think of setting up ”temporary e-mail addresses” ahead of time, even though this was a planned change.

Perhaps not the best explanation of what happened.

If medison Really were changing hosts (which I think is really unlikely), all they would need to do is setup a new account, copy the web pages over to the new account, and point the domain to the new NS Servers, while leaving the original site operational for 24 hours until the domain has had time to propogrte to the new NS servers, This would create a changeover without any downtime.

The fact is that the hosting company ”surftown” is forwarding the domain medisoncelebrity.com to their ”this domain is hostes by” web page means either that medison have removed all their web pages and there is no default (index.html) page in the public directory or more likely that MEDISONS ACCOUNT HAS BEEN SUSPENDED by ’surftown’ due to NONE PAYMENT or BREACH OF SURFTOWNS TERMS & CONDITIONS. In this case Surftown would suspend the account and forward all visitors to Surftowns own default web page.

”means either that medison have removed all their web pages and there is no default (index.html)”

No, all of the Medison pages return the Surftown page. If any, or all of the pages were just taken down, a request for that page would return a ”page not found” server mesage.

rspx: No that’s not correct, Web Hosting Companies can suspend a web site and whether the account has pages or not ALL requests (even 404 error not found) will be redirected to the Web Hosting Companies default page. I have been involved in web hosting since 1997 and I use the same methods when suspending an account.

The medison websites may have been suspended or removed, but apparently 2CO still takes orders for the Medison Celebrity Laptop:

It is now well overdue for 2CO give a clear statement whether they are continuing to support and act as a merchant seller for Medison or whether they have also suspended Medisons account due to the events that have occurred during the last few days.

If 2CO continue to sell this product they could be subject to many lawsuits from its customers, There are also laws in place that state what should be disclosed to the customer for online sales through the Internet, i.e. sellers contact address, emil address, delivery costs, delivery company, etc, etc. These are not subject to privacy laws. Also to hold a Merchant Banking Account, 2CO are subject to complying to the Merchant Banking Code.

If any of my Companies did not respond with reasonable answers to customers concerns or queries, I would loose many customers and soon be out of business.

agreed. I for one will never use 2co again. But that dosent mean that they dont owe me or other customers answers to the basic questions that have been asked. This is no way to treat customers.

”Medisoncelebrity.com website has been closed down”

cibercore checking the Whois records on medisoncelebrity.com, it looks like you’re jumping the gun.

I just checked the whois records and there has been an IP change for http://www.medisoncelebrity.com. Meaning he has most probably changed servers as he seems to have indicated.

Also from where I am (Canada) I can see his site up and running.
He most probably changed hosting providers.

So now that his site is visable. Has anyone seen one of the laptops yet?

I can also access the website. Medison confirms that the phones are not
presently active.

I think 2Checkout has behaved admirably throughout this ”experience”. I hope
that the laptop becomes a reality, as there are an enormous number of us who
want a product similar to this. The ASUS eee PC-701 is also promising, but has
also been delayed.

As a businessman who traveled a lot internationally, I wanted, and want:
(1) a small light computer that will leave some room in my briefcase
(2) a computer that will go reliably 6-10 hours on a charge, (and a monochrome
screen could be considered to achieve that)
(3) freedom from the quirks of a succession of Windows products, each larger and quirkier than the last
(4) a machine that will allow me to access internet and email, that has a word processor, spreadsheet, and presentation function.
(5) perhaps extended memory rather than a hard drive, to optimize battery life

It is a pain to buy a $2-3000 laptop, only soon afterward to have it run out of battery after 30 minutes of usage. And to have hard drive crashes that lose everything you have on the machine (and have, like all of us, failed to backup)

The $150-350 price level is tempting, but that is not the whole story. Some of us want a feather weight, anvil tough computer.

And there is a lot of money out there for the company who can do it.

@ larrys

I think you are confusing offers. The Asus Eee PC could indeed be the small lightweight ultra-portable computer you want. The Medison Celebrity Laptop, if it exists, is just cheap, not small or lightweight.

’UPNCOMER’ If their account has indeed been suspended by ’Surftown.com’ Medison can easily change to another host provider, this does not change the fact that they seem to be running a scam and obviously trying to defraud the public of their hard earned money by offering a Laptop for only $150 without any real evidence that these laptops even exist.

As at the moment I still see the default page ”This Domain Is Hosted By” from surftown, I will wait a few hours until the new NS servers propagate to see.

The whois records show that the NS servers have changed to Yahoo, but the technical sontacts remain ’Surftown’ I wonder why.

The whole issue is that 2CO seem to be continuing permiting this scammer continue for reasons unkown, I can only suspect they are making some significant money out of interest earned before orders are cancelled or monies returned. even if 2CO return the money after one week to customers, there are new customers each day ordering, so they can continue earning intersts. Please be aware this is only a theory.

It seems very clear that this is 99% scam, for 2CO to continue without providing further evidence that it is not a scam they could be liable to many lawsuits.

By law C20 are obliged as the merchant seller to provide each customer information of the delivery charges and the name of the company used for the delivery, by not providing this information they are also breaking the law.

I for one, would now never use 2CO for my business sales, what I have seen here is simple a disgusting arrogant attitude from 2CO to its customers.

I never expected much information in the whois record to be genuine, I wonder if his address is actually his home address or just a fictional address like his laptop.

Nice Find for the mobile telephone number for Valdi, guess his phone is going to be busy pressy soon ”Hello Valdi, How you doing, Where’s my Laptop you f****ng *******!!!” LOL

”There are potentially serious ramifications to the accusation that 2CO has engaged in ”deceptive actions”. We’re happy to answer legitimate questions, but broad accusations of this nature are usually best ignored.”

Does this thread go into that broad accusations catagory Cliff? Its not really a broad accusation when the site is in fact down. This thread deserves a response from 2Co and there has been none.

Taken from the home page of medisoncelebrity.com

2checkout, Inc. is an authorized retailer of Medison Europe Limited (http://www.medison.se)

As you can see the Company’s website that has the account with 2CO does not currently exist.

Medisoncelebrity.com now seems to be online again but nearly all links are broken, including terms, product, prices, specifications, taxes, fees, shipping & handling, Etc.

Where does 2CO really get the idea that this is a serious company?

I have nothing against 2CO, you are a professional Company offering a professional service to many clients around the World for many different products, but…

You guys really need to wake up!

This whole Medison affair could really damage your reputation as a reseller.

Ok, so the site is up now sort of. It was down when I last posted and it was down from Friday to Monday. I spoze it is easier for 2Co to wait and see if the site comes back up rather then to seek answers as to why it was down in the first place.

Their corporate webiste http://www.medison.se is still down. I contacted the current host that started to host medison.se this weekend, and they say that they have suspended the account and that it was a mistake to accept medison as a customer.

Full details can be found at http://www.medisonscam.info as usual.

thenisse, quit spamming, seriously, you are so annoying.

With or without you nothing will change, you really don’t matter.

Scenario one is the laptops all ship out ( admittedly slow) and customers are charged.

Scenario two, deadline isn’t met, no ones card is charged and the people who had orders marked shipped will get a refund.

What isn’t there to understand? Is it really that hard, because if it is I can draw a picture for you.

Nothing will change with you spamming and complaining. All you are accomplishing is wasting space. The only good thing that has come of this is whoever you paid for your precious medisonscam domain. At least you are fueling the economy…

Could it be that you are simply stupid?

PS. Domains are very expensive, right? :D

TRIX: thenisse, quit spamming, seriously, you are so annoying.”

I personally think that ’thenisse’ has been very helpful in providing relative and very helpful information about the Medison Celebrity in this forum. This is a public forum operated by 2CO for customers and potential customers to air their concerns and/or questions to 2CO. I don’t see how you can call this spamming.

Simple answer, if you are not concerned about Medison, don’t visit these forums and place an order for your Medison Celebrity with 2CO, and wait, and wait, and wait…

Well, a company that is so stupid that they continue believing a obvious pathological fantast like Valdi is obviously not stopping customers that are stupid enough to order 9999 laptops.

@ trix (who may be or may not be a 2CO employee) and 2CO staff:

Is it really so hard to understand that all this is not about whether or not people will receive their ordered laptops and not about whether or not people who do not receive the laptop will get a refund?

This is about credibility. Since shortly after the August 1 press conference it has been absolutely clear that there was no and will not be a Medison Celebrity Laptop. I do not doubt that you will send a refund to those who payed for the laptop, but you could have and should have stopped this nonsense weeks ago.
