Dear Sirs and Madams and To Whom It May Concern,
Let me first state that everything told in this letter is based upon facts if nothing else is stated. If you have any questions regarding the source of information of any given statement, please contact me and I will provide the source.
This letter addresses the concerns and issues with 2Checkout.com, Inc (2co) supplier Medison Europe Limited (Medison) and/or Valdi Ivancic (Valdi) and 2co’s role, responsibility and handling of this matter.
1. The first question I ask why 2Co, as the serious company you claim to be, continue to have Medison as a supplier, after being notified about that the following about Medison and/or their CEO Valdi:
* The company and/or it’s CEO Valdi has at multiple occasions lied and exaggerated about their history, the products they sell and many more things.
* The company doesn’t have any valid contact options for its customers. No phone or fax-numbers. No monitored e-mail. No valid shipping or visiting address.
* They don’t answer any questions from the press after being confronted about a confirmed lie.
* A company who’s only employed person and CEO are applying for a head position at a Swedish county, this with a CV consisting almost only of lies and exaggerations.
* A company and person whose past in business only has managed to loose money and doing suspicious things.
* A company that violate several laws in the country that they are based.
* A company that several times have proven not to have the competence or possibility to pull of a project like this.
* A company that even can’t provide any information on what the final price will be, not even how much shipping are and how it will be paid.
* A company that can’t provide any information when their product will be shipped.
* A company that can’t even update their own website with correct information. For example, “Due to the unexpectedly high traffic to our support line past 24 hours it broke down†has been stated on their site for over one month.
Again, why oh why would ANY sane, serious company do business with a proven unserious and incompetent company and/or person like this?
My next questions are regarding 2Co’s previous and current handling of this matter.
2. For almost four weeks ago, one of your employees wrote on your forum: “We’re definitely working with Medison to clarify the shipping issues. You’ll see more information made available as it becomes available.†No new information has been given since then. Why is this?
3. Almost three weeks ago one of your employees wrote on your forum: “The order form *will* be corrected. Unfortunately, my point team on resolving many inquiries was collectively unavailable but you’ll see the some presentment changes and clarification made soonâ€. Also the information that this problem existed was notified almost five week ago. This issue has not been resolved and it still says “Scandinavia – FREE†as only shipping option, when Valdi him self has stated that all customer must pay for shipping. Why hasn’t this been fixed as you stated it would be? How do you define “soonâ€?
4. When confronted about the fact that the recent shipping notices didn’t contain any tracking numbers for the shipping, you answered: “We do not need a tracking number to do verifications this is done by telephoneâ€. When asked about if Medison would need to provide tracking numbers earlier, you reply was: “We will require tracking information in this case. Due to the large number of orders we will undoubtedly permit an alternative method for supplying 2Checkout with that information in place on having to individually enter tracking information for each orderâ€. Why did you change your standpoint on this?
5. You previously stated:
“We’ve been really supportive and responsive to many questions but, at the end of the process, customers who ordered and have not already canceled will receive one of two communications from 2CO:
a). We’re canceling your order, or;
b). Your order is ready to be shipped — please reauthorize this saleâ€.
Now the shipping notices were just sent out without any more information and money was withdrawn. Why was this changed?
Let’s continue with some current customer concerns:
6. How long time do you estimate that the shipping will take? When will you start to contact customers that have had their order marked as shipped?
7. How do you handle customers in different time zones when calling for verification?
8. How long will a customer need to wait until they get a full refund if no computer arrives?
9. If a customer claims that they haven’t received any computer, but Medison claims that they have shipped it, how will you handle it if you don’t have any tracking numbers? Let’s say that 10 customers say that they have received computers and 10 say that they haven’t.
10. If a customer receives a defective unit or feels that the order doesn’t meet his or her expectations, how will this be handled, especially when there isn’t any way for customers to contact Medison? Will the customer need to pay for shipping for returns and/or service if this is needed?
11. From where are the orders shipped?
12. How many orders will you verify before any money is transferred to the supplier? Will you halt the payment process if just one or two persons claim that they haven’t received any shipment?
Last but most important question:
13. What would make you to stop your artificial life support of this whole mess? When the customers have waited xx months for their shipments? When the first customer claims to have received something else than a computer? When the second batch of computers isn’t shipped after xx months? When you get to know that Medison can’t handle returns or service of the sold units?
And please don’t just reply with the standard “the customers’ money is safeâ€, “we can’t comment on this or thatâ€, or that “we have to wait it out†for an undefined period of time. This is bigger that that. The longer you keep your support of this alive, the more you show potential scammers how easy it is to scam people (not trough you, but in general) and are enabling other companies or persons to get hurt in the meantime in other ways because they think that this is 100% legit since you still are supporting it so strongly.
Please try to understand that I only do this in the interest of the customers and consumers in general. I have absolutely nothing to gain from this personally at all, I just do it pro bono.
Regards,
Tommy Truthseeker

You are more like a forum troll than a truth-seeker. Your arguments fall flat considering 2Checkout backs up every transaction with a return guarantee. The fact that you wasted your time and money to set up a website dedicated to something that is being freely discussed here in these forums tells me that you probably don’t see a whole lot of daylight. The fact that you wrote this huge letter to 2Checkout asking questions that have already been answered a couple times over (even if the answers were undesirable) tells me that you really don’t know what you’re talking about if you can’t even remember simple things like that. I am sure 2Checkout can handle their own business without you jumping up and down and biting at their feet like an annoying Jack Russell Terrier.

@ theovermind
Exactly WHICH argument ”falls flat” because 2Checkout has a return guarantee?
You mean to tell me you read all that text and came to the conclusion that it was the money that was the issue here?
You also claim his questions have been answered here (”a couple times over”) already? Are you for real, or just plain stupid?
What do you consider to be a ”undesirable” question?
Wheter 2Co can ”handle their own business” or not will be shown in a near future since thousands of people are watching it closely and the general opinion right now is that they have NOT answered questions they really SHOULD HAVE the answers too. Are these questions ”undesirable”, and if so, why is that?

I’ve posted this over at my blog, but I think it would be a good thing to post some clarification here too:
”Now, I would like to answer some questions and do a few clarifications regarding my letter. It seems like some people reads things that I didn’t write, and other people doesn’t read what I wrote but comment anyway. Let me first start with what I’m not saying: I’m not saying that Medison is performing an intentional scam, I’m not saying that 2co is an unserious company, and I’m not doing any doubtful or false claims. I don’t believe that the questions is unjustified, but that is of course a subjective thing, I’m not claiming to be any kind of expert or know-it-all in this kind of matters.
A little clarification on why I wrote this letter now, why it might sound a bit harsh might be in place: The reason why I wrote this now is because that money has been withdrawn from buyers cards, without the security and convenience steps that 2co previously has written about. Suddenly, when the shipping notices was sent out without any tracking numbers, the previous requirement from 2co that Medison had to provide this was just thrown out of the window without any valid reason. I feel that the questions about this and the other things stated by 2co needs to be answered for customer safety. How long will 2co keep the money before they release it back if no computer arrives for example?
And the reason for the some what hard words and tones is that many people, including me, has previously been asking these questions without getting any valid answers, or that the validness of the answers drastically has changed after the last weeks event after the shipping notices.
Some people are also asking ”Why now, why not wait until the deadline?”, ”Give them time” etc. My questions to those persons are: What deadline, give them time for what? The questions are still very much important even if some computers arrive, not all orders will be delivered at the same time. And how long time should people be expected to wait? The previous deadline two weeks ago? The new deadline tomorrow? The eight weeks Medison mention on their website? The three months that Valdi wrote in a previous announcement? Or even longer?
And last, I’ll try to answer the question why I do this again. I’m interested in technology, I have previously been involved in uncovering big IT-scams here in Sweden, and I’m trying to do the general public a service. Why do someone help an old lady walk over the street? Why do someone try to stop a burglary of an unrelated person? Why do people do other stuff out of pure interest? Why do people write blogs? It’s not my intention to get all deep on you, but this is how I feel, and I hope you get the point.
Anyway, let’s just hope that 2co at least try to answer the questions, I don’t see why they shouldn’t our couldn’t if they have pure intentions. Then all this wouldn’t be an issue. Well, I’m not exactly expecting an answer on question #1, but the rest of them at least
”

Thank you theovermind for your imput. I agree with you whole heartedly. Why don’t these ”forum trolls” cancel their orders and get off this forum. If they don’t have orders placed then please leave those of us who do alone and without the benefits of their extensive knowledge regarding the huge ”fraud”. Get lost trolls.

@ joek150
You are actually a bigger ”joek” than ”theovermind” and one might suspect you work for Medison.
A previous post of yours.
”Dear 2CO Staff,
I would like to thank you for your patience and perseverance regarding this Medison Celebrity posting. I for one placed an order with you and choose to wait and see what happens. If these few (concerned citizens) are so worried then they should withdraw their orders and let you continue to do business. I guess you get these problems when you deal with the public (used loosely). Again, thank you for doing what is necessary to protect our orders and good luck.”
Can’t recall the last time I saw such a ”############” [- Editor's note: Let's keep everything G Rated] post.

This is to reiterate that 2Checkout is in continuous contact with Valdi in regards to Medison and their Celebrity laptops. On two occasions, we have met face to face with Valdi to address your concerns and to help solve certain logistical problems. If you have placed an order, be assured that no funds will be taken from your card unless the item has been marked shipped. If your order has been marked shipped, no funds will be released to Medison until you have received your laptop.
2Checkout would like to thank all of you that have been active in our forums in your search for information. We will continue to answer questions that fall outside of our privacy policy in the attempt to keep you as informed as we can.
It is in the best interest and a matter of integrity for 2Checkout.com to continue to protect it’s customers (you) and it’s vendors (in this case Valdi), in effect, you are all 2Checkout customers.
I would like to thank you all for your patience regarding these matters.

How come? How can you have logistic problems when my order is marked â€shipped†and you have charged my card? What happened? Did you/Medison put my computer/brick on the mailbox without postage?

Thanks geno for saying the exact thing you have answered before that made me write the letter from the start. Can you please specify how each question you don’t answer falls into your privacy policy, question by question?

I think this is all we will hear from 2CO about this matter, ever. I think they have already decided that there are no Medison Celebrity laptops and that they are simply waiting for the right moment to pull Valdi’s account and pay the refunds. Whatever passed between Valdi and 2CO we will never hear, not from 2CO anyway.

geno: I would just like to point out that I have no reason not to trust that you met Valdi and I don’t think any of my questions relates to your meeting, so I don’t understand why you posted that answer in this thread?

Geno, I am not as polite as thenisse and I am therefore writing in plain words, I trust you and 2CO ”as far as I can sling a piano”.
I cannot understand how you as a company can continue to play this charade. When will you end it and how will you (pathetically) try to save your name?

”This is to reiterate that 2Checkout is in continuous contact with Valdi in regards to Medison and their Celebrity laptops.”
A post saying that you have considered getting in contact with reality as well would be more welcome I suspect.
”On two occasions, we have met face to face with Valdi to address your concerns and to help solve certain logistical problems.”
Since the ”problems” only seems to be ”logistical” I assume all 300,000 computers are ready for shipment somewhere and since Valdi himself has claimed they put them together in Brazil (in ”their own” factory?) somewhere one would assume that’s where they are right now?
Pretty difficult to have them arrive to ”Scandinavia” on august 31 (that was yesterday) unless Superman does the deliveries.
Still, since orders HAVE been marked as ”Shiped” so you can hold the money it would be an educated guess (even for a ”Troll”) that they are either on a boat or on a plane. Would it conflict with your ”Privacy policy” to inform which it is?
Perhaps ”theovermind” can answer this instead? He claims you have answered our questions over & over again and must have a very ”special” source of information (unless he’s just retarded of course)?

Looks like no one has received his laptop yet, but is there anybody who ordered and paid for it to 2co? I’m still looking for an opportunity to believe that it’s not a scam and be ready to get one for me.
The problem is that I gonna use a regular BankTransfer, but not a Visa card, so in that case my money may leave me for nothing before the laptop actually ”will be” shipped.

Can 2CO please let me know how many Days I have to wait before 2CO can advise that the first Medison Celebrities have actually been received by the customers. I would like to make some purchases once this has been confirmed by 2CO that this is not a scam, Thank you.
+0
-0
Why wait for that confirmation?
Since 2CO is ”holding” on to your money without any chance you can lose them(?) I don’t see any reason to ”wait” for ONE computer (since they probably would deliver at least 100 even if it WAS a scam).
Secondly I’m afraid 2CO will claim that it will conflict with their ”Privacy policy” to inform you of anything (eg. if it’s monday the 3:rd today or not).

Guess I am not going to get an answer from 2CO on my previous question, I posted it here because on the order form at medisoncelebrity.com there is a link to cantact 2CO sales, but this link only takes me to a blank page with 2CO logo, (Not very professional).
How can I trust 2CO as a seller I have never heard of them until I went to the order page for the Medison Celebrity Laptop, and they do not answer customers concerns.
After doing some research it seems like if I place an order and the celebrity is not delivered it could take up to three months to get my money back from 2CO, if this is the case, and 2CO are not answering any sensible questions from their customers, could it be that 2CO are continuing letting this scam continue so they can make 100’s Thousands of Dollars each month in interest earned by keeping our money.
If it’s true that there are 45 Million Dollars of orders for the Medison with 2CO then 2Checkout stand to make about $243,000 Each Month on interest alone. (based on 6.5% per annum).
Are 2CO hiding behind this scam because of its popularity just to use customers money to earn 2CO lots of interest before eventually returning the money to its customers.
From now on will never purchase any product that uses 2CO, it seems that they are just as bad as the Scammers like Medison.

Hello Cibercore,
If you would like to contact us directly about your order, you can do so using the information on the contact page at http://www.2checkout.com/community/?p=280
When you request a refund on your order, it will not take 3 months for you to be reimbursed. The typical amount of time for a refund can vary depending on how you pay (it’s faster for a credit card than an e-check, for an example) and how long it takes for your bank to process it. A refund from 2Checkout can take up to 10 business days, but typically for credit cards it will only take a day or two.
The statement that these orders can take up to 3 months to arrive came from the supplier himself, and is not a trick by 2Checkout to receive additional funds from interest. In fact, until the order is shipped we will not take the money from your account at all, but simply put it under an authorization hold. This ensures that the money needed for the purchase will be there when it is time for the deposit, but also ensures that if you decide that you no longer want the product, lifting the authorization hold will be even faster than a reversal of funds.
I hope that this information helps clarify how the process works for you. If you decide that you would like to cancel your order, please contact us and we’ll be happy to take care of it for you.
Thanks,
Julie

2CO,
I am making the formal statement That I wish to sell WWII Surplus biplanes. I wish to sell them for $1 each. What Do I need to do to sell them through 2CO.
Also, I have several hundred Teletransporters (as seen on TV, in Star Trek) I wish to sell these for $5.
Can I safely sell these through 2CO?
My partner Valdi reccomended you.
No, not really. But If I did wish to sell these items, would you let me?
+0

But If I did wish to sell these items, would you let me?
I think 2Co will require that you have been involved in at least 3 or 4 companies before the present one that have all been liquidated by the authorities for not paying taxes nor declare incomes etc.
btw, would ”freight” be included in the price for that plane? (Perhaps it doesn’t matter?)
Don’t want to buy your Teletransporters since I believe they are fake (and if not, suspiciously cheap!).

julie wrote: ”In fact, until the order is shipped we will not take the money from your account at all, but simply put it under an authorization hold.”
This is where it gets scary. Since ”order is shipped” is simply Medison/Valdi ticking a box on a webpage. From what I understand this has started now. How long will it take for someone who cancel their order after its been marked as shipped before they get their money back?
Or am I wrong?

To thenisse, whocares, and other whiners……
You guys sure waste a lot of finger power on these posts but all I see is ”blah blah blah”
You do realize that if you don’t like what 2co is doing you can CANCEL YOUR ORDER! I know it’s crazy when we customers actually have the power to do something about our own choices to spend our own money, and I know this novel idea is a lot for you dissenters to handle. But if you can all grow up just a little bit, stop throwing infantile tantrums, and start acting like civil human beings I think you will find that even after 175+ pointless posts the story hasn’t changed and we can all still cancel our orders and get refunds if we want them.
Does anyone else get this simple concept or am I the only one?

To theovermind………
Well said. I wonder what they will try to save the world from next.

To theovermind and joek150: And you two guys sure waste alot of time defending a couple of companies that are obviously scammers ( 2CO/medison ) So….is it that joek150 works for medison and theovermind works for 2CO or vice versa?
+0

I don’t think that 2CO can be called a scammer.
I think that:
1. The Medison Celebrity Laptop does not exist
2. Medison’s CEO Valdi is either a scammer or a mental case (I think the latter)
3. 2CO has been fooled by Valdi
+0

The lack of updates from 2co on this subject since the release date has passed is making me think Medison and 2co are both scamers.

Two guys?
What are the odds to find two such morons in the same thread?
They sure write their posts in a similar way……… allthough joke150 only complement others for their inputs.

I apologize for being away from the forums for so long regarding this matter. I can tell you that Medison has been given a deadline. If that deadline is not met, all standing orders will be canceled and you will be notified when you can place your order again. This is not a reflection on Valdi, Medison or the product, but on system management and back end fulfillment issues. I thank you all for taking part on the forums and look forward to future discussions.
+0

geno, would it be possible to announce the date of this deadline so we know when people can expect their moneys back?
+0

Geno has been talking to swedish paper…
He said that the computer exists and he had seen it.
I’ll bet almost everything on that this computer was a clevo with scraped serial number. This computer was sent by a company to Valdi august 2006 according to people that have seen the shipping slip with name, this computer is not paid for yet….

Cliff says
”There are potentially serious ramifications to the accusation that 2CO has engaged in ”deceptive actions”. We’re happy to answer legitimate questions, but broad accusations of this nature are usually best ignored.”
There are tons and tons of ligit questions in this thread. There are a number of 2Co responses. Not one of the 2Co responses address the questions posted by customers. So according to Cliff these are either not legitimate questions or they are broad accusations. Well thank you Cliff these customers must just be stupid and it is fine to ignore there questions and post bs. We must be unworthy of 2Co and that is fine. I dont want to ever do buisness with 2Co again anyway.

Lukeduke, I do not know when the deadline is, so I cannot provide that information.
This quote from another thread is incomplete and out of context here. The surrounding text is relevant and cannot be omitted if you want an understanding of the issue. That being the case, I’ll limit discussion of that thread to that thread.

But you are a 2CO staff? If you dont know the deadline who does? Maybe there is no deadline. As for your quote. Since there are so many questions that have gone unanswered with no explanation it is only fair to assume that the 1 reason posted in another thread applies to all. If that is not the case please go question by question and explain why they do not deserve a valid response.
