Hello - I will forward this suggestion to our developers.
Keep in mind that a coupon created in the 2Checkout system only needs to be entered 1 time, on the 2Checkout purchase page. If you create any coupons inside your website system that are entered during your websites checkout procedure, they do not need to be entered on the 2Checkout page. If a customer attempts to enter a coupon code that was not created in your 2Checkout admin on our purchase page, it will not be accepted.

joel, those that write their own carts may not have a sophisticated coupon feature (I, for instance). Being able to just use the 2checkout feature would be great. But since most people have more than one payment method, we want the coupon to be reflected regardless of which one they choose so it has to be entered on our site. There was another person who asked if this was available yet in the thread announcing the new coupon feature.

I understand where your coming from and that is a great idea regarding the coupon code being more universal and not dependent on the payment method selected. I will add this to our request for a parameter to pass the coupon code to the purchase pages.

I would also suggest a parameter to completely remove the coupon code from the order from, specifically the new ’simple checkout’ page.

The coupon code field will only be displayed at checkout if the supplier has a coupon created in their account in either the multi page or single page purchase routine.

I’ve moved this to the Feature Requests category.

Hello renthost, Unfortunately we do not have an ETA for a feature that allows you to pass in the coupon code at this time.
