The date on USD checks arriving in Europe use mm/dd/yyyy format date, which can be confusing in places where this is interprested as dd/mm/yyyy. May I suggest to use dd-MMM-yyyy instead, where MMM is the month abbreviation in words. This avoids ambiguity.
