Hi,
I recently read Alan’s interview and it
was great to know more about 2Co…
I use 2Co everyday and i love to recommend this to anyone ever need a payment processing solution online.
so first of all THANK you to all of
you there at 2Co, and Alan specially
for making this easy for small businesses to sell online!
One thing I want to recommend is
regarding how 2Co’s own affiliate
link is setup…
As i refer 2Co daily to my clients
and friends… i just noticed this
today when i was about to post
about this recent interview of Alan
at my personal blog…
Currently:
2Co affilite link for exp this one:
https://www.2checkout.com/2co/signup?aff_id=000000
redirects directly to signup form:
https://www.2checkout.com/2co/signup
Problem:
Problem with current approach is that
many people who are referred to 2Co
want or need a service but before
they sign-up they need to know more
about the service..
Solution:
They should be first redirected to
a Landing page before sending to
signup form…i.e. a little pre-selling.. a little benefit vs feature list…
For example this page is great:
http://www.2checkout.com/community/about
(Of course a custom landing page
can be made but it was just to
give you an example)
so the end result will be:
1. Affiliate sends referral to
2Co..2Co make the note of aff id,
set the cookie and redirect to
a landing page…like
http://www.2checkout.com/community/about
and then they are directed signup…
I am sure this will help get more
warm leads and signup which in result
will help contribute to the Vision of
Alan of making 2CO a BIG BIG company
Best Regards,
Mohsin Rasool
PS. I also wanted to thankyou the
Visionary behind the idea of making
2Co more social and community based
website, and company…you guys
rock..so does your support in
public forum and on support desk…
Also posts by staff at blog are
continuous source of education for
vendors selling online. Thank you and Good Luck!

Mohsin,
Thank you for the suggestion. Coincidentally, our developers have recently been working on a way for referrers to send their visitors to a custom landing page, as you describe.
We’ll be posting more information soon.
