Hi,
Has anyone accepted South Korean Credit cards on their site? I want to know if this works on 2checkout. South korea uses visa and mastercard, but my question is that they would type their billing address in ”Korean” not ”English”. So, would that matter? Is AVS (address verfication) only for us customers? How does this work?
thanks

kp: I am not aware of any update that would indicate South Korea is providing AVS support. A country’s participation in AVS is generally based upon the privacy laws that govern how an issuing bank can respond.
2Checkout does not discriminate based upon the country that issued a credit card. We accept orders submitted in a number of languages (Chinese, Japanese, etc…).

Any plans to support South Korean currency (Won)?

I am unaware of any.
The currencies are restricted by both the credit card association rules as well as
currencies supported by our merchant account provider.

mlee4xf4: Yes, we are looking at some venues which would provide us with a way to expand the number of currencies that we can support.
This is in the earliest discussion phase, however, so no details or time lines are available.
We’re very interested in knowing what other payment methods (this goes for all of our international vendors) that you would like to see supported. Mobile payments come up a lot with our Asian Pacific vendors.
