Can anyone suggest good script for selling intangible goods through 2CO?
Basically looking for something that allows customers to download documents etc. after paying through 2CO?
Will appreciate your ideas…
Thanks

We usually recommend Linklok, because it’s been around for quite a while and is pretty simple to use, but I’d love to know about any other programs our suppliers recommend.
If you use or have developed software for e-good downloads, please let us know.

Yes I can recommend 2Trade Readysell v6.5 Professional.
It is easy to use, selling tangible and digital goods.
Intergrates seemlessly into 2checkout and others.

Hi, I use a very simple script (see it in use at http://public.interlingua.co.uk) that I wrote myself. It works perfectly and is designed specifically for 2CO. I’m working on a production release but in the meantime I can set it up on a site for a small fee.
There’s very, very little chance of anyone getting access to your files without going via the payment process, as there are absolutely no physical links to the actual location of the files you are selling.
I think it is very similar to linklok but it includes a catalogue and shopping cart. Everything is in CSS (with tables where necessary) and can easily be integrated into an existing site.
The actual catalogue pages are CSS, not tables, and are good for site SEO. Take a look for yourselves.
Also see the catalogue (but without the 2CO interface) in use at http://www.topetersburgwithlove.com – over 1,000 items and no problems.
Reply here if you’re interested.

I should add that if you want to write your own script, it’s really not that difficult. The main thing to remember is to ‘hide’ the physical location of the files and use a database to handle authorisation for accessing them. Not too difficult to produce with basic knowledge of PHP and MySQL.
For anyone who wants to give the whole thing a run through in demo mode, contact me and I’ll set it up.
Question to Cliff:
How’s it going?
Is it ok. to set up a dummy site with demo=Y and make it publicly available? (i.e. here, on the forum, so people can see the process for themselves) or is it only for individual vendors’ usage?

2Checkout has a demonstration online shop setup here:
On this page you can see an example of a site setup using 2checkout’s easy to use Plug and Play parameters. This will allow you to test a transaction, start to finish, from the perspective of a customer.

Oooh, I remember acmeonlinebooks
What I meant was, is it okay if I set up a site to demonstrate my script, using the demo paramter? If need be I can make it password protected to avoid any abuse
