This weekend, one of our web developers and I will be flying to San Francisco to attend WordCamp and An Event Apart.
We use WordPress at 2Checkout.com for our blogs and the community site, so we’re excited to meet others who use and develop it at WordCamp. Matt Mullenweg, the creator of WordPress, really impressed us at SXSW Interactive, earlier this year, so we’re looking forward to hearing from him again.
After WordCamp, we’ll be staying in town a few more days to attend An Event Apart. We’ve been big fans of A List Apart for years now. Their dedication to web standards and best practices has earned them much well-deserved respect within the online community. If you make websites, please take a few minutes to complete this year’s A List Apart survey and take a look at the results from last year’s survey.
Unfortunately, we won’t have the opportunity to host a free lunch while we’re in San Francisco, but our representatives at conferences in Boston (August 11-12) and San Diego (August 11-14) still will. See Let’s Do Lunch for more information.
If you’re going to either of these San Francisco conferences, please let us know in the comments. We’d love to meet you!
