Hi guys,
When a customer updates his billing info you show him a form with 2 [Search For Order] buttons. There are 2 problems:
1. You do not accept non-USA ZIP codes. Why?! We have lots of customers from other countries (there are about 200 countries, by the way) and all of them have troubles using this form.
You have to either accept all ZIP codes or create a separate form for non-US customers and ask them for some other info like phone number etc.
2. There are 2 buttons and lots of customers do not understand which one to click. Some of them fill in ZIP code at the bottom and click the upper button instead of the lower one. And, yes, even USA customers do this. They are native english speakers and they can not fight their way thru the form.
Consider splitting this form to left and right forms at least, or leave 1 button only, or do something else to make the process easier.
And PLEASE test it on some group of PC novice.
Thanks.

Hi tools,
I have tested our update billing page located at:
https://www.2checkout.com/va/sales/customer/change_billing_method
1. This form does accept non-USA zip codes, including those with letters. The zip code or postal code the customer enters on the first page must match the zip code that they entered when placing the sale. If it does not match it will not find the sale.
If you can provide to me some of the sale numbers for the customers who are experiencing problems with the form I can test those zip codes to be sure we are accepting all the formats we need to be. I can be reached at jzimmerman@2co.com.
2. I understand your concern with this issue. I will make some recommendations to our development team to help make this form easier to understand.

Thanks, Joel. Next time when the form does not accept a ZIP, I’ll inform you.

Many countries do not use a zip code. I have found out that entering 00000 works for many payment processors that insist on a zip code but I believe this works for companies that have their own merchant account. I do not know if this works for 2co.

I would like to clarify that on our payment pages, the pages our customers place orders on, the zip code is optional for anyone outside of the United States. Customers without a zip code will be able to complete the purchase without entering a zip code.
If a customer then needs to update their billing information with our update billing page which we were discussing they would need to use the search for that finds the order based on the order number and the first 6 and last 2 digits of the credit card used to place the order.

How I can simplify the 2CheckOut page form. In particular, I want to remove the PayPal check out option (i.e. The PayPal checkout buttons, the Payment method should only be Credit Card). I also want the Billing Information and Credit Card info to be on the same page. I am sure suppliers in the 2CheckOut community would want the Payment Form to be as simple as possible for customer convenience. Please advise. Thank You!

I found my answer for a single page checkout

Cheers to 2CheckOut!

I’m glad to see that you had located the article concerning the Single Page Purchase routine. The Single Page Purchase routine does help to simplify the process for suppliers using third party carts or selling intangible products using the 2Checkout Plug n Play cart.
