When a customer places a credit card sale the authorization is obtained immediately at the time of purchase. Once it is verified that funds are available to make the purchase the sale is placed and created in the 2Checkout account. Every sale is subject to a fraud review as well. This can take up to 48 hours to be completed but as current vendors know, it is typically much faster. Once the credit card sale passes the fraud review, the sale is completed and the funds will move to deposited status and be released for payment to you on your next date of payment. A detailed description of this process can be found here.
I would like to ask for more information regarding why the processing time is causing you to loose customers as a sale is confirmed once the authorization is obtained and fraud review is passed. This process will typically be completed within 48 hours.
Other payment methods, such as online check or FX source, can take longer to process. Checks must wait for the funds to clear from the bank and FXsource will depend on your customer transferring the money from their bank account.
If any other vendors would like to share their thoughts on this issue please do.

I sell “box” software - this market is highly competitive in some areas (online image galleries for example). Customers expect exceptional support from me and they make their first opinion about my goods and service based on quality of third-party payment processing services.
+ most customers use Paypal and expect rapid deals: 4 days to complete orders is kinda too long in most cases.

I apologize for the delay in responding to your inquiry. In most instances, the fraud review for an order will be completed within 6 to 12 hours. After the fraud review has completed and an order has been approved, suppliers may fulfill the order. There is no difference in the time that the fraud review will take based on the payment option elected by the customer.
