I thought I just made a post about this a few seconds ago. But don’t see it posted.
So I’ll re-post…
Basically, my paypal business account is not allowing me to accept payments from my online customers as I live outside the US.
I’m just wondering if any non-US citizens in the community here are able to use 2Checkout for this purpose.
I’ve already sent in a support ticket about this issue, but while I’m waiting for a reply, I thought maybe you guys could answer this for me, or offer an alternative service that does.
Thanks in advance.
Also, is having a website absolutely necessary for using the service? I mean, can I simply have a link in an ad that sends the customer to 2Checkout for the order processing?

Can foreigners use this service?

Hello Kevin,
We do offer PayPal to international customers, even offering the option for 6 currencies. Our knowledge base has more information on PayPal orders.
We do require a website with product information to be associated with your account which will be used to launch customers to the checkout page. Of course, this can be done simply. The best example I’ve seen is Golden Bough Music where they simply have an “Order CDs” link that takes customers directly to their 2Checkout product page. For more information on this, you can contact the Risk department at risk@2co.com.
Thanks for your interest!

Just curious about your example link http://www.goldenboughmusic.com/ . Why is this site a good example when it does not comply to the 2CO standards as far as a refund policy, terms of service, etc?
Are there different policies for different types of sites? Or am I just blind and cannot find the links?

I chose that site as an example because it is the first (and only) one that came to mind that uses the product page instead of listing items individually on the website. I wasn’t looking for the privacy policy, etc. Oops!

Sorry, meant privacy policy, not terms of service.

@ magicanswers
Thank you for pointing this out. All 2CO Suppliers are required to have both a Privacy and Refund Policy clearly posted on their website. This supplier has been notified to promptly update their site to become compliant. Thanks again for the information.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions guys.
I was contacted earlier by support, and looks like it’s a go.

But almost two months later they haven’t updated it or added the links, but still have an active cart…
