Setting product options in the "buy now" link

Hi it’s me again

I have set up some product options for Product A so the customer can specify colour. That is cool, but how can I allow the customer to select the colour from the website? Is there a URL parameter I can send?

Thanks

Hi dagmar – It is not possible to submit a parameter to select the product option. This will have to be selected by the customer when they reach the 2Checkout purcahse page.

After you have created the product option you will want to be sure you have associated it with the product so the drop down box will appear on the purcahse pages. If you need any assistance with this part of the process you can review this knowledge base article for instructions.

Thanks for the response Joel – I suspected as much. Perhaps I am wanting to mis-use the options and should rather create separate products

Dagmar, You might want to take a look at our AcmeOnlineBooks.com demo site. The “Choosable product with dropdown” provides some sample code that shows how to use a dropdown to select different products.
