Checkout page is different in different browsers.

Hello!

Could you explain why I got this.

I created the payment form but checkout page looks different in IE and Chrome, FF and maybe others browsers. I’d prefer the first variant (IE), of course. Continue reading…

OMG, who design the ugly checkout page? And it is a recent redesign?

Who here is bothered by the look and usability of the checkout page?

The person who designed it needs to have their eyes examined.

Can’t he/she take the design cue from google checkout?

2checkout’s looks busy, unprofessional and is all over the place, and what is up overlapping left column to the main column?

Please, can someone please redesign it to a simple nice look. Just look at all those web2.0 interfaces, and stop trying too hard with columns or italics.

I am sure folks are losing sales because of the interface.

Lots going to checkout but not completing

Hi

Since the end of October I’ve had 42 people go to the 2CO checkout but I don’t think I’ve seen one come out the other side. I test it and it works, though.

How can I debug this? Are there any reporting tools?

Also, what percentages are you seeing in your application? We price in £ and maybe half our visitors are from outside the UK, so perhaps people are clicking to find out the price in their currency.

I’m using a javascript onclick to tell Google Analytics that someone’s clicked to ’buy’.

All help appreciated.

Cheers
J

Problem with email order notifications

When the new checkout pages came into effect last week, the ’incoming order’ emails also changed, the new format of the emails is bad and is missing a lot of information.

The new emails are missing the following details:

Vendor Product ID
Product Description
Price of each product – it just shows the total
IP address almost always says Country – Unknown
Phones number field shows ’EXT’

Also the general way the email is laid out makes it hard to read.

Is 2CO working to fix the email notification so that they will be like what they were or will they remain this way (i really hope not)?

MD5 Problems

Ok, so I set up my 2checkout script, but I still have problems.
My customers are not returning to the site the way they should.

I’m using the MD5 encryption method with the secret word to verify my orders.
When I test this in DEMO mode, using “1″ (without the quotes) as the “order_number”, it works perfectly fine.

But, with real orders (not in DEMO mode), the script doesn’t work. When not using demo mode, I use $_POST['order_number'] as the order number coming from 2checkout.

For some reason, there is still something missing.

Any ideas?
I mean…if demo mode works, why can’t real orders work as well? The only difference is the “order_number”, right?
