As a web developer, I’m shocked by the state of this website and can’t believe a reputable payment processor would put up something like this. I’m looking for a payment gateway for a client of mine and the more time I spend here the less I’m likely to choose 2CO. Some of the issues I’ve ran into:
1- It’s sorta difficult to sign up. “Start Selling” is not a clear call to action for someone needing a payment gateway. How about “Sign up”?
2- The dual personality website is super unprofessional. Choose one look or the other. (i.e., the sign up page vs. the rest of the site)
3- The front page is a mess. That’s where you put your most important messages. Your blog is not your most important message (unless you prefer it over actually selling your service).
4- Broken links galore. It looks like content was copied and pasted from the old website without anyone checking the links (see http://www.2checkout.com/community/blog/tag/api/)
5- The Live Help Start Chat button on the right leads to an email contact form. Not exactly “Live Help”.
6- I’d expect the “Now accepting PayPal” button to lead to specific details on your implementation, not a pop up from the PayPal site. If you’re on this site, you probably already know what PayPal is.
