yesssssssss

Please protect your legit vendors !

Dear 2Co

I have been a vendor of yours for years, but am very worry at this time.
Please take the necessary steps of protecting your legit vendors, by cleaning up the medison mess.
Dealing as a vendor with 2CO for years, I 100% believe Medison buyers money is 100% safe with you, but I also believe you can still be held responsible for your deceptive actions (and I also must say your lack of reaction) in this matter.
And that therefore you can be subject to countless lawsuits, that in the end will hurt us, your vendors and money bringers, by pushing up fees higher. In a worse case scenario you could also be strip of your merchant account by Visa and Mastercard for your high chargebacks and refunds ratio.
It happened to others payment processing companies before (I’m sure you remember Paysystems. Thousands of vendors were left out of their holdback funds, worse millions bucks).
With the Christmas shopping season coming very soon, it’s time to clean your house, to protect your future and ours !

MEDISONCELEBRITY.COM SITE IS CLOSED DOWN!

Medisoncelebrity.com website has been closed down my the web hosting provider. Time for 2CO issue an official statement on this whole affair, and return all the customers money.

JUST RECEIVED MY MEDISON LAPTOP TODAY!!!!!AWESOME!!!

Hi yall, Well I just recieved my Laptop today,,,,YEAH!!!!!,,,it is BEAUTIFUL and awesome. I will be testing it out And will follow up another posting with more details once I review the laptop allittle more, since I just got it in.

Take care, AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let’s speculate on the product-the Celebrity PC itself…..

If all of this is legit and Valdi actually has computers to sell, what does he have that he can offer for 150USD?

I’m going to wade in with ”container salvage”. When a shipping container goes overboard a ship, (and it happens a LOT) the contents are insured. What the insurance company does with the salvaged contents once they’ve paid up for the container load is to try and recoup their losses and they don’t usually care whose market they’re spoiling.

Any guesses how many Clevo m540v’s fit in a container? Any guesses what the salvage value of a waterlogged container of laptop PC’s is? What happens if Valdi bids on one, hoping there will be a treasure trove of perfectly good units in amongst the soggy corregated boxboard. What if he wasn’t lucky and there are very few? What if they’re in the far east and—oops—Valdi had no idea that the shipping of a container from there to here would eat up any profit there might be.

I’ve been a purchasing agent and traffic expeditor and ALL KINDS of things are available as salvage for 2 cents on the dollar. Cool stuff like laptop PC’s, too but it’s a blind purchase and you never know exactly what you have until you (or your agents–there are actually companies in the far east that specialize in salvaging and refurbishing the contents of lost and found containers and reporting back to you what you’ve bought) standing on a wharf in Taiwan going through the soggy cardboard. You’re almost buying by the kilo.

Open letter to 2Checkout: Time to take responsibility

To: 2Checkout.com, Inc

By: Tommy Truthseeker

Dear Sirs and Madams and To Whom It May Concern,

Let me first state that everything told in this letter is based upon facts if nothing else is stated. If you have any questions regarding the source of information of any given statement, please contact me and I will provide the source.

This letter addresses the concerns and issues with 2Checkout.com, Inc (2co) supplier Medison Europe Limited (Medison) and/or Valdi Ivancic (Valdi) and 2co’s role, responsibility and handling of this matter.

1. The first question I ask why 2Co, as the serious company you claim to be, continue to have Medison as a supplier, after being notified about that the following about Medison and/or their CEO Valdi:

* The company and/or it’s CEO Valdi has at multiple occasions lied and exaggerated about their history, the products they sell and many more things.

* The company doesn’t have any valid contact options for its customers. No phone or fax-numbers. No monitored e-mail. No valid shipping or visiting address.

* They don’t answer any questions from the press after being confronted about a confirmed lie.

* A company who’s only employed person and CEO are applying for a head position at a Swedish county, this with a CV consisting almost only of lies and exaggerations.

* A company and person whose past in business only has managed to loose money and doing suspicious things.

* A company that violate several laws in the country that they are based.

* A company that several times have proven not to have the competence or possibility to pull of a project like this.

* A company that even can’t provide any information on what the final price will be, not even how much shipping are and how it will be paid.

* A company that can’t provide any information when their product will be shipped.

* A company that can’t even update their own website with correct information. For example, “Due to the unexpectedly high traffic to our support line past 24 hours it broke down” has been stated on their site for over one month.

Again, why oh why would ANY sane, serious company do business with a proven unserious and incompetent company and/or person like this?

My next questions are regarding 2Co’s previous and current handling of this matter.

2. For almost four weeks ago, one of your employees wrote on your forum: “We’re definitely working with Medison to clarify the shipping issues. You’ll see more information made available as it becomes available.” No new information has been given since then. Why is this?

3. Almost three weeks ago one of your employees wrote on your forum: “The order form *will* be corrected. Unfortunately, my point team on resolving many inquiries was collectively unavailable but you’ll see the some presentment changes and clarification made soon”. Also the information that this problem existed was notified almost five week ago. This issue has not been resolved and it still says “Scandinavia – FREE” as only shipping option, when Valdi him self has stated that all customer must pay for shipping. Why hasn’t this been fixed as you stated it would be? How do you define “soon”?

4. When confronted about the fact that the recent shipping notices didn’t contain any tracking numbers for the shipping, you answered: “We do not need a tracking number to do verifications this is done by telephone”. When asked about if Medison would need to provide tracking numbers earlier, you reply was: “We will require tracking information in this case. Due to the large number of orders we will undoubtedly permit an alternative method for supplying 2Checkout with that information in place on having to individually enter tracking information for each order”. Why did you change your standpoint on this?

5. You previously stated:
“We’ve been really supportive and responsive to many questions but, at the end of the process, customers who ordered and have not already canceled will receive one of two communications from 2CO:
a). We’re canceling your order, or;
b). Your order is ready to be shipped — please reauthorize this sale”.
Now the shipping notices were just sent out without any more information and money was withdrawn. Why was this changed?

Let’s continue with some current customer concerns:

6. How long time do you estimate that the shipping will take? When will you start to contact customers that have had their order marked as shipped?

7. How do you handle customers in different time zones when calling for verification?

8. How long will a customer need to wait until they get a full refund if no computer arrives?

9. If a customer claims that they haven’t received any computer, but Medison claims that they have shipped it, how will you handle it if you don’t have any tracking numbers? Let’s say that 10 customers say that they have received computers and 10 say that they haven’t.

10. If a customer receives a defective unit or feels that the order doesn’t meet his or her expectations, how will this be handled, especially when there isn’t any way for customers to contact Medison? Will the customer need to pay for shipping for returns and/or service if this is needed?

11. From where are the orders shipped?

12. How many orders will you verify before any money is transferred to the supplier? Will you halt the payment process if just one or two persons claim that they haven’t received any shipment?

Last but most important question:

13. What would make you to stop your artificial life support of this whole mess? When the customers have waited xx months for their shipments? When the first customer claims to have received something else than a computer? When the second batch of computers isn’t shipped after xx months? When you get to know that Medison can’t handle returns or service of the sold units?

And please don’t just reply with the standard “the customers’ money is safe”, “we can’t comment on this or that”, or that “we have to wait it out” for an undefined period of time. This is bigger that that. The longer you keep your support of this alive, the more you show potential scammers how easy it is to scam people (not trough you, but in general) and are enabling other companies or persons to get hurt in the meantime in other ways because they think that this is 100% legit since you still are supporting it so strongly.

Please try to understand that I only do this in the interest of the customers and consumers in general. I have absolutely nothing to gain from this personally at all, I just do it pro bono.

Regards,

Tommy Truthseeker

Are The Medison Shipping Notices Fake or Real?

Dear 2CO staff,

You stated on Friday in this forum that no laptops have been shipped.

Posts have surfaced in various web forums that customers have received shipping notifications with a fake [all zero] tracking number and a vague, nonsensical shipping method called ”Scandinavia”.

Can you please confirm if these shipping notices are real, originating from 2checkout?

Which shipping company is used?

Why is the tracking number not correct?

Press Release: New website dedicated to find the truth on Medison

Press Release: New website dedicated to find the truth on Medison Celebrity
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Sweden
July the 29th 2007

The just created website “Medison Scam” has just been created to battle the probable scam consisting of the $US150 laptop Medison Celebrity.

The creator of the site, Truth Seeker, says:
- “We don’t believe that the laptop actually exists. After trying to communicate with involved parties for several days, we decided to take it up on our self to get the truth out.”

The site promises to work hard to bring light out on this issue. Media, especially in Sweden, has done a crap job on this. As late as of today one of the largest newspapers in Sweden, Expressen, published an article almost looking like an advertisement for the computer, not saying one word about the criticism that the company has received from experts, users and websites around the world for several days. Media in other countries has been more careful and in most cases actually warning potential buyers on the risk of a probable scam.

Truth Seeker continues:
- “As it looks now very many things points at that the whole thing is illegitimate. It is highly unlikely that anyone will ever receive the actual computer, and I’m prepared to say that I’ll eat my hat if the computers actually get delivered according to specification!”

However, one could argue on if Truth Seeker actually has any hat or not.

More information can be found on the website http://medisonscam.blogspot.com/
Any comments or questions can be directed directly to Truth Seeker himself on medisonscam@gmail.com.

The team behind medisonscam.blogspot.com

Who pays for the verification process?

Who pays for the verification process?

Will I, as a supplier, have to pay for anything in this regard?

Thanks!

Madisoncelebrity.com fraud warning!

After the swedish media wrote about a $150 notebook, massive discussions have arisen at different computer-related forums regarding the credibility of madisoncelebrity.com.

I urge people who are thinking about buying this notebook to be cautious.

But most importantly, I urge 2CO to investigate the credibility of madisoncelebrity.com so that your customers can feel safe doing business with your partners.
Because of the rather long time it takes to receive the claimed notebook (4-6 weeks) I hope you can make sure that they will not receive any money until a customer has received the unit.
Notice that just because ”some” (say 1/3rd) of the customers have received their item, it does not mean that the company is serious. They might be using the money of the other 2/3rd of the customers to buy notebooks for the first ones, and therefore the business will only be going as long as new customers can be ”recruited” – like an old-fashioned pyramide-game.
This is something that would work very well in the beginning as the price of a notebook is low, and there’s probably millions around the world wanting to buy one.

So please do investigate this, and if you can’t, are you ready to handle thousands of angry customers demanding their money back?

You have been warned.
