Is there a way to remove a redundant button at the checkout

I was wondering if there is a way to change something that shows up when people check out and I guess everybody has this, but when the customer leaves my shopping cart and is taken to 2checkout.com there’s a page that gives them “3″ buttons to choose from to click, one says, “Continue Shopping”, the next says, “Save Changes” and the last one says, “Save and Checkout”. The 1st one and the last one actually do something, but the middle one, “Save Changes” doesn’t appear to do anything for the customer and it seems it may make them think there’s something wrong with the checkout when they see it. Is there a way to remove that middle button?

Thank you,
Karen

Also, can I change the “text” on those buttons??? I’d like the last one to say “Check out” instead of “Save and Check out” and remove the middle button, “Save Changes” altogether if possible. Please advise, thanks.

The text on these buttons cannot be customized. The only change to this page that can be made, aside from your company logo, is made by using the “fixed=Y” parameter. However, this will remove both the Continue Shopping and Save Changes buttons, as well as lock the quantity at 1, so it is not for everyone.

The Save Changes button does indeed work. It is mostly useful when a customer wishes to recalculate costs after changing quantity, modify product options or enter a coupon code. While clicking on the Save and Checkout button will have the same effect, it also forwards the customer to the next page. It may be their desire to make further changes or review the effects before continuing with the order.

Beau

Well, when mine says Quanity as 1, it means that everything in their cart adds up to that, but there are more than 1 items in their shopping cart of course and those details are already sent to me. Is there a way that all of the items ‘names’ can show up at this point?

thanks,
Karen

I have a dansie cart setup as my shopping cart because I like the way the item images show in the cart so people can see what they’re ordering always, which helps remind them of what they’re ordering if they’ve got a long list of items in the cart. Should I also manually enter my items in my “products” in my 2checkout account? Would they show up in the online mall ya’ll have that way? Is there any other benefits to me entering all my items here?

Thanks Beau and anyone else that replies!

Hey Jewlerykk,
"Is there a way that all of the items 'names' can show up at this point?"
I see on your site that you are using a third party cart to send in sales. When sending in sales to our system like this it is possible to list the items that you are selling, although this will need to be something that your shopping cart supports. To find out if it does support this you should speak to your shopping cart developer.

Below is a link to an article which explains the technical aspects of this process.
http://www.2checkout.com/community/?p=236

"Should I also manually enter my items in my "products" in my 2checkout account?"
Unless you specifically want to use our Plug N Play cart, or you want to list your items in our shopping center, then you should not spend the time entering them.

"Would they show up in the online mall ya'll have that way?"
For each product inside of your account you have the option to set if it is eligible or not for going into the shopping center. Just keep in mind that they will not automatically appear and first must be approved.

"Is there any other benefits to me entering all my items here?"
Unless you are using the Plug N Play shopping cart for your transactions, which currently you are not, then no.

I hope this helps.

I just loaded that URL for the first time and do not see a ”continue shopping” button, so I suspect your browser has just cached it. If you clear your cache and cookies and reload that page, it should appear correctly, without the ”continue shopping” button.
