After a transaction has been successfully completed the relevant information will be sent to the page that you have listed as your Approved (or Pending) URL. If the page at this URL is a script, it can collect this information to be used in other ways (such as entry into a database or directing the customer to the product that they have recently purchased. For more in-depth information about this process, please check out this article:

http://www.2checkout.com/community/?p=318

The parameter names of what is returned to your page will vary depending on the parameters that you send to our purchase routine. Parameters are essentially divided into two groups: \"Plug n Play\" (the parameters for using our built-in products system) and third party cart parameters. Third party cart parameters are also divided further into the universal parameters, Authorize.net compatible parameters and the \"New cart purchase\" parameters which are to be used in conjunction with either of the third party cart parameter sets. Information regarding these parameter sets can be found at the pages below:

// Plug n Play parameters
http://www.2checkout.com/community/?p=205

// Third party cart parameters
http://www.2checkout.com/community/?p=204

// Authorize.net parameters
http://www.2checkout.com/community/?p=203

// New cart purchase parameters
http://www.2checkout.com/community/?p=236

The information above explains how the customer and their order information are returned to your page, but what about security? 2Checkout handles this in the form of a MD5 hash key that is returned along with the order information (the name of the parameter depends on which parameter set you are using). By creating a hash key from the information returned to your site and comparing it with the hash key from our server you can determine if the visitor has completed a valid sale through 2Checkout. More on the MD5 hash can be found here:

http://www.2checkout.com/community/?p=223

If parameters and scripting aren\'t your thing, it\'s also possible to find third party software that was designed to take care of everything mentioned above. One such piece of software, Linklok, has a version specifically for use with 2Checkout:
