In this month's newsletter, we'll outline some issues and and ideas related to the upgrade, explain some new features of Version 2 designed to help you sell more, cover some maintenance issues with V1, and share information on our new phone support hours.

But firstly, we'd like to introduce a new promotion and congratulate our first winner! Congratulations to CG Kiew of JQ Shop (www.jqshop.com), Malaysia!

In appreciation of the time and effort taken to upload product images and long descriptions into our Version 2 Shopping Center, 2CO has awarded Mr. Kiew a $500 bonus. Quality information from our suppliers helps us to create the type of shopping environment for which our customers repeatedly ask.

Mr. Kiew is the first recipient of this incentive bonus— created to reward vendors for taking the time to provide us with the information we, and customers, need—and you could be the next!

Celebrate our Two Year Anniversary! Join the 2CO Portrait Gallery

It's hard to believe we've been at the Hilliard location for two years, but it's true. To celebrate, we'd like to add members of the 2Checkout.com family to the building…figuratively speaking.

Send us a photo of your company staff, the locale of your business, product samples, or anything else you feel is representative of your company. We'll be printing and framing the photos and hanging them in our lobby.

Compliance Reminder

It may seem like compliance issues keep surfacing, but it's important for all of us-- 2Checkout.com, credit card issuers, and you, the vendor-- that all aspects of compliance are reiterated and clarified. Credit card issuers have explained to 2Checkout.com that sites which are not in compliance will be removed from the Shopping Center without any notice to the business.

Language: Even if you believe your language is correct on Web site buttons, we urge you to double-check. The only acceptable language can be found at http://sellers.2checkout.com/language_guidelines.html

It's actually a part of the compliance process, but Version 2 gives you new tools and opportunities to show off your product

How to highlight and display your products by Adding an Image:

In the Set Up Products section on the Account HomePage, you can:
— Upload an image for each product.
Click on the --> Image link under Actions.

How to Expand Product Descriptions:
In the Set Up Products section on the Account HomePage, you can:
Click on the --> Edit link under Actions.
— Provide a highly descriptive, comprehensive catalog-style paragraph about the product. Highlight product features and uses, as well as any helpful information on styles, varieties and sizes in four to ten sentences—use a word count of between 50 and 250 words as your guide.

If you think that the most often used keywords won't make sense in the product description, consider writing a final sentence to the description that simply lists two or three common keywords, and use them in plural (for example, use books, instead of book; brushes, instead of brush).
Hint: The Search feature on the Shopping Center will find all the words you use in the Product Description. Help shoppers find you and buy your product by making your product description in-depth and customer-focused!

How to Easily Add Product Varieties:
In the Set Up Products section on the Account HomePage, you can:

Save yourself some time. Learn how NOT to enter the same product multiple times.

If you offer a product that comes in multiple sizes, colors, weights, fabrics, and/or quantities, you do NOT have to enter each individual product in separately.

Instead, use the Edit link under Actions in the Set Up Products page. Click -->Edit Product Options will link you to the “Edit Product Options” page. You can then set up your various options by Name (for example, Size). That option name can be further defined under Option Values (for example, small, medium, and large).

What Happened to the Headers?

Headers and footers are gone in Version 2. The good news is that now your company's logo appears front and center on the 2Checkout.com Shopping Center page for each of your products.

Because we know that branding and integration are important to you we have enabled a Logo feature which will display your logo on the Order Details page. Logos, unlike headers and footers, will also be included with all Shopping Center-based orders. This will also allow vendors to benefit from 2CO's future marketing efforts with third party outlets like Froogle and Yahoo Store.

Make sure your logo is in the system. Go to the logo option, available in your V2 account on the Look and Feel settings page.

Version1 Maintenance

Due to scheduled maintenance, refunds will be unavailable in V1 Tuesday, April 26 and Wednesday, April 27 (rescheduled) Thursday, May5 and Friday, May 6. Cancellations will still be processed, but refunds will return an error.
