If clothes make the ma then clarity, code, and a bottomless pit of espresso make an user interface. And our Vendor Area (VA) was in dire need of a makeover. It’s 2Checkout’s absolute pleasure to present our redesigned VA, the back-end control panel where merchants manage all of their account information and master their sales. After a Greek Chorus of feedback asked us for clear navigation and less clutter, we were happy to build the user interface our sellers deserve. For any seller even contemplating an e-commerce business, having a dependable way to manage and evaluate sales data is vital to sustainable success. The 2Checkout design team combed over every inch of our old-school Vendor Area to fill in the cracks and add a new layer of digital paint. In other words, we traded in our Commodore 64 for a 4,000p virtual reality incubator (that may not exist yet, but it totally will). Adding more than new fonts and a cleaner aesthetic, we also dug deep into user experience to see what features should take the limelight and which should patiently hang behind the curtain.
For example, the new redesign places the search tool on the right-hand side of every page. This new function allows the merchant a clear overview of his or her budding business before diving into the intricate details. The light grey magnifying glass gives complete and detailed access to any transaction product, sale, or customer hiding in a business’ history. This versatile approach allows the user to zoom in and out of operations within seconds.
Other tweaks include revamps to our forms and tables. Taking a less-is-more approach, we’ve injected some breathing room into these pages as well as created new ways to sift through the information including a pagination system for the tables. Using forms to customize individual pages is now a breeze thanks to reassembled options and drop down menus.
Forms enable easy formatting
These are just a few of the features we’ve renovated to help our merchants gain more control and clarity in their day-to-day business.
