Our leadership

The 2Checkout Executive Committee is the central decision-making body for the company. This committee sets the strategic direction and the priorities for the company.

Alan Homewood

Founder & Chairman

Alan Homewood conceived of a low-cost, easy-to-implement ecommerce solution for the small business owner as well as the newcomer who found traditional merchant account contract terms and pricing structures prohibitive. In 1999 he began developing the underlying code and relationships that formed the initial foundation of 2Checkout. Over the next decade, Alan built his weekend project into a multi-million-dollar enterprise.

Alan is currently a member of the Columbus Chamber of Small Business Council, Entrepreneurs Organization (EO) and The Executive Forum (TEF) of Tech Columbus. He was an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist in 2004 and won the Columbus Chamber of Commerce Small Business Leader Award in 2008.

Alan has a CIS degree from the Ohio State University School of Business.
