How to integrate Shopify with 2Checkout

Shopify Settings:

  1. Login to your Shopify admin.
  2. Under Settings select Payments.
  3. Under the Select a Credit Card Gateway drop-down, select 2Checkout.
  4. Enter your 2Checkout Account Number.
  5. Enter your Secret Word (Must be the same value entered on your 2Checkout Site Management page.)
  6. Check “Use test mode” to place demo sales or leave unchecked for live sales.
  7. Click Activate to save your changes.

2Checkout Settings:

  1. Sign in to your 2Checkout account.
  2. Navigate to DashboardIntegrationsWebhooks & API Section
  3. Activate Redirect URL: In the Redirect URL section check “Enable return after sale”, set the Approved URL to your Shopify URL, and for Return method, select Header Redirect. Finally, click on Update to save your settings.
  4. In the Secret Word section enter the Buy Link Secret Word (it must be the same value entered in your Shopify admin).

Important Note:

1. To avoid potential delays with account activation, ensure that you have created your store in Shopify, and that your store is visible so that the required reviews can take place. Please refer to Shopify’s manual here for instructions detailing their system’s operation. Shopify support can also be contacted here.

2. If any changes are made to your domain (to a custom Shopify domain/other) please e-mail us the new URL at in order to update your 2checkout account. Having different URL’s on your accounts will cause a communication mismatch resulting in orders being registered only on one of them while on the other orders will appear as abandoned cart.
