2Checkout seeking 100 new specialists for Bucharest innovation hub

Verifone has recently acquired 2Checkout and has ambitious plans for growing its team in Romania

Bucharest - November 11, 2020: 2Checkout (now Verifone), the leading all-in-one monetization platform for global businesses, announces that it is seeking 100 new tech experts to join its Bucharest office. Verifone, who recently acquired 2Checkout, is looking to strengthen the R&D team in the Romanian capital.

The expansion of the R&D center will take place at an accelerated pace, with more than 500 people added to the team over the next six months. For this first 100 job pool, Verifone is seeking Java specialists for the testing and development departments, in addition to mobile-app programmers using Android.

"We are looking for specialists for both entry-level and medium-level positions, as well as for colleagues with management skills who will fill project manager or team leader jobs," announced Mihaela Alsamadi, Talent Acquisition Leader EMEA at Verifone, who is responsible for the recruitment campaign. "Currently, all 100 recruitments will be made via digital channels, including the final selection based on online interviews as well as the onboarding process after positions are offered and accepted."

Verifone, whose main goal is to "redefine the customer journey," has developed a unified global payment solutions platform that provides its customers and individuals a seamless experience with any purchase, regardless of whether the payment is made online or offline, with a credit card or other methods.

"This opportunity offered by Verifone is special, not only because of the number of jobs that will be available, but also because of the wide variety of projects and products that our future colleagues will work on," emphasized Alsamadi. "These new team members will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of ultra-innovative payment solutions and integrated ecosystems used in all global sales channels, both online and offline, many of which do not currently exist in Romania."

"These new employees will interact with cultures and consumers around the world, and also work with state-of-the-art technologies to develop solutions for the more than 150 markets in which Verifone operates," added Alsamadi.

Verifone has a wide variety of payment solutions around the globe, including classic POS, to-order kiosks in fast food networks, tablets or displays in taxis, and specialized payment software, among others.

Verifone's goal for the coming years is barrier-free trade, in which the customer experience is a company's most important asset, and essential in maintaining loyalty to one brand or another.
