How to integrate Open Cart with 2Checkout


2Checkout Payment API Setup

OpenCart Settings

  1. Download the 2Checkout payment module from Github.
  2. Upload the files to your OpenCart directory.
  3. Sign in to your OpenCart admin.
  4. Click Extensions tab and Payments subtab.
  5. Under 2Checkout click Install and then click Edit.
  6. Enter your 2Checkout Account ID. (2Checkout Account Number)
  7. Enter your Public Key. (2Checkout Publishable Key)
  8. Enter your Private Key. (2Checkout Private Key)
  9. Select No under Sandbox Mode. (Unless you are testing in the 2Checkout Sandbox)
  10. Select Complete under Order Status.
  11. Select Enabled under Status.
  12. Save your changes.

Important note: Usage of the 2Checkout Payment API requires agreement to a legal addendum, which is to be reviewed upon first accessing the API tab. After agreeing to the addendum, 2Checkout’s compliance partner, Trustwave, will preregister the account in their system. This process takes between 12-24 hours. After preregistration is completed, Trustwave will issue an email indicating that the seller can register themselves in Trustwave – after the seller’s registration is verified in Trustwave, API keys will be available.




2Checkout PayPal Direct Setup

OpenCart Settings

  1. Sign in to your OpenCart admin.
  2. Click Extensions tab and Payments subtab.
  3. Under 2Checkout PayPal Direct click Install and then click Edit.
  4. Enter your 2Checkout Account ID. (2Checkout Account Number)
  5. Select Complete under Order Status.
  6. Select Enabled under Status.
  7. Enter your Secret Word (Must be the same value entered on your 2Checkout Site Management page.)
  8. Save your changes.


2Checkout Settings

  1. Sign in to your 2Checkout account.
  2. Click the Account tab and Site Management subcategory.
  3. Under Direct Return select Given links back to my website.
  4. Set the Approved URL to http://www.yourstore.com/index.php?route=payment/twocheckout/callback (Replace http://www.yourstore.com with the actual URL to your store.)
  5. Enter your Secret Word (Must be the same value entered in your OpenCart admin.)
  6. Click Save Changes.



Standard / Inline

OpenCart Settings:

  1. Sign in to your OpenCart admin.
  2. Click Extensions tab and Payments subtab.
  3. Under 2Checkout Click Install and then click Edit.
  4. Enter your 2Checkout Account ID (2Checkout Account Number).
  5. Select No under Test Mode.
  6. Select Complete under Order Status.
  7. Select Enabled under Status.
  8. Enter your Secret Word (Must be the same value entered on your 2Checkout Site Management page.)
  9. Save your changes.


2Checkout Settings:

  1. Sign in to your 2Checkout account.
  2. Click the Account tab and Site Management subcategory.
  3. Under Direct Return select Given links back to my website.
  4. Set the Approved URL to http://www.yourstore.com/index.php?route=payment/twocheckout/callback (Replace http://www.yourstore.com with the actual URL to your store.)
  5. Enter your Secret Word (Must be the same value entered in your OpenCart admin.)
  6. Click Save Changes.
